2 cops ambushed and executed In NY

you are free to express your "feeling" . but I would hope you could do it without putting on your Gatom mask.'Really thought when SAV started this board we were intent on agreeing to disagree without the personal vitriol.

Personally I don't see what it was the gold said that warranted such a response. And I think he brings a point of view that deserves your at least considering.

Question to you? In the grand scheme is a cop assassinated in the line of duty more important than the lives of let's say those killed at the Mosque in Wisconsin a couple years back. Because I don't remember your being so passionate over that assassination.

I am totally disappointed in the NY police and their open contempt of the Mayor. Way to set an example guys. So, if these men hired to protect and serve are allowed to disrespect the office of the Mayor -their boss - ("YOU LIE" ) hasn't all sense of order eroded and aren't we all but officially living in a police stae where there will now be open warfare of police and those they are entrusted to "Protest and Serve". As in Germany in the early 1930's. Look up the Brown Shirts

I already have accepted I am a despicable human being for positing such a question but if you would please, stay on topic. The topic is not me or gold or anyone else that has the gall to disagree with the knee jerk / faux- manufactured outrage contingent.

The slanted media and corrupt political office in NY has as much to do with this as anyone.

Any athletes going to wear "I support NYC police" shirts now that two of them were murdered in cold blood for no reason?

Oh, so the rhetoric that the mayor is using is appropriate? Perpetuating the nonsense that young black men have to live in fear of the cops? Anyone has to live in fear of THE LAW if you are breaking the law. How about teaching better messages like staying in school and out of gangs?

Of course not because a cops life means nothing to Liberals of this country. Its a damn disgrace. As Charles Barkley said, "These communities would be the wild west without the cops". Just incredible that people can completely discount everything officers do.

Maybe shirts should read "I cant go home to my wife and kids"

are we talking about the cops or the people the cops kill and aren't held accountable for and actually get paid vacations out of it?

guess you would have the market tied up on both sides with your shirt though

so it is a good idea

Who causes the confrontations when these deaths happen?

What bothers me is the us vs them mentality. Cops work for the duly elected mayor. Chain of command breaks down chaos ensues.
Cops are armed tothe teeth -- so the ones with the most guns wins ? Not sure I am on board with that school of thought.
The mayor was elected (as was the POTUS) if the police don't like what he says or the commands he sends out there is a process in place to remove him. This juevenile nonsense of back turning and public disregard of his office --- what is next, a policeman throws a shoe at him --- ?
Charles Barkley --- really ?

You make blanket statements of what "liberals think" are an indication you really don't have an opinion of your own but a borrowed one

Charles Barkley is the "good one" now --- really?

Cops work for the citizens of the jurisdiction they work in...the same with the mayor.

No, the police work under an elected official.

Kinda the system we adopted cause a that British thing in the 18th century

i would say it depends on which case we are talking about but that really doesn't have anything to do with the question i asked

Yes it does because if people wouldn't be criminals we would have less deaths as a result of police having to address the calls.

What happens in theory and what happens in reality are two completely different things. The government is structured to work for the people.

ah, yes

as you say, it's never the polices fault when they go and kill someone

i mean , they are just dealing with criminals.

i hope tamir rices family knows that it is their fault

as well as countless other families who have had their loved ones killed by over zealous cops who weren't held accountable

So should the electrd official support the people that work for him? If the people that work for him arent doing their jobs, shouldnt he fix the problem, not contribute to putting their lives in danger?
