We stopped class in HS to watch the bronco chase. They wheeled in TVs to show us the hunt for OJ. What a huge case that was. I think we even watched some of the court proceedings in class.
I remember the split screen of the car chase while watching game 5 of Knicks-Rockets in the Finals.

Current events class or maybe a class called today's world ?
Our textbook was Newsweek magazine and yes it wasn't a core class.
That whole trial was one of the saddest moments in American history.
I think it showed a number of things and one of the greatest ironies is that while many African-Americans lauded the acquittal, they tended to forget that O.J. was a rich African-American with access to megabuck lawyers. If it would have been a lower class African-American, Marcia Clark would have devoured the public defender and the defendant would have gotten a lifetime pass to the San Quentin spa and recreation facility.
Not only that, but it was one of the longest moments in American history as well.That whole trial was one of the saddest moments in American history.
