It's OVER 5,000!
But we apparently didn't get Jenkins for him. Just a part of Jenkins. You'd really trade Walden for a one-eyed Jenkins with a clubfoot and a shriveled left arm?
Yup. He's not special or super valuable or irreplaceable.

Walden was awesome when he pitched. Key thing to note....WHEN he pitched. Braves will replace him just fine.
Yup. He's not special or super valuable or irreplaceable.
That's clearly not the point.
You think we could've gotten more for him?
If what we got was only a percentage of Jenkins? Absolutely.
That's clearly not the point.
lol, so MORE speculation that we didn't get "full value" for someone despite zero evidence of it. Okay.
What would you expect for Walden? A RP who's had (non-serious) arm problems here and there?

And if you think there's zero evidence that we didn't get full value for Upton, you haven't been paying attention.
I'm still not in agreement with you on that one. You posted a bunch of players that the Padres traded. That doesn't mean that (a) the Braves wanted any of those players or (b) those players were ever offered in a package for Upton.
In the end, even if the Braves didn't get top dollar for Upton the difference between the future value of the prospect package was probably negligible.

Without any outside information, do you think a team with a need would offer more or less for an answer to that need AFTER (in comparison with BEFORE) already finding an answer?
"Two chicks at the same time."
In a vacuum of those circumstances the answer is obviously before but we do not know how long the Kemp or Myers deal was in the oven. There could have been players that were already off limits to the Braves because these other teams wanted them.
This is how I picture thethe when it comes to defense of the Braves organization.
