They are saying he is the top HS pitcher in the draft. I had hoped we'd get a hitter.

We don't need hitting. Clearly.

Yeah - again. The pitcher is fine. Although he is injured and also committed to school. I just want another top 10 hitting prospect in our system to look forward to instead of always saying "we're not gonna sign this guy"

We've got 5 more picks brother. Patience. They know we need a hitter. They were looking at 2-3 guys before Allard that were position players. One being s heavy hitting catcher from right down the road in Griffin.

Because we've probably never had near this many picks in the top 100... And that is a big deal even if you don't believe it

Allard fits Braves plan. Lots and lots and lots of high ceiling guys with some risk. Risk mitigated by having so many guys like that.

Maybe we pick Aiken too?

Would think so if we didn't take a risky pick at 14. I want Aiken and Hayes and then they can do any dang thing they want and I'll consider it a success.

We have tons of high picks... This dude has an insanely high ceiling. A LHP with that ceiling can easily turn into a big time bat in a trade later

Certainly valid concerns but if he signs he is so young they can take a long time with him to ensure his back is sound and ready to go.

Of course. Any time you have a chance to get a guy with ACE potential you jump at that. The goal is to win a world series and nothing helps you win a world series more than an ACE pitcher.

According to Roy Clark, this kid is 100% Braves.

MLB network guys are saying he is a top 5 talent if not injured. Since it isn't an arm injury it shouldn't be a huge deal. The Braves may have gotten the best pitcher in the draft at 14.
