It's not a big gap, but I think the market values 3 years of Shelby Miller more than 4 years of Alex Wood. Probably not a consensus opinion, but I'd expect that to be a majority opinion among executives.

No doubt, but we should have gotten a lot more out of Wood and Pereza than a 30 year old something that has some potential.

Just because the Diamondbacks are dumb doesn't mean everyone else is. It's dumb to assume what one team will do based on the actions of another.

The Cubs would absolutely not give us Soler and Baez for Wood and Peraza. They likely wouldn't even give us one of them.

I'd try, but I'm guessing it would take a pretty substantial pitching prospect. Renfroe had a down year but picked it back up at AAA and I'm sure the Padres will want a good bit for him.
