Agreed. I expected Nova to sign for a discount to return to PIT (and I think he did), but this was a much lower price than expected. I'm guessing one of the other 29 teams could have gotten him for 3 / $33m or thereabouts. Would have been a solid value given he's one of the few FA SPs with legit upside.

I'm hoping we add Desmond Jennings as the RHH 4th OF that can play CF and Hank Conger on an MiLB deal to compete with Recker for the backup C spot.

Makes a lot of sense honestly. We have so many guys that play all over the diamond that we really don't need a flexible bench man. He's been solid against lefties and of course there is that appeal from a marketing perspective.

I'm with dak, I want to see the Braves bring in Jennings now that Davis and Ruggiano are gone. Dak convinced me weeks ago that he was the best 4th OF option available anyways.

Why would he play any CF? Inciarte and Mallex are your 2 CF.

Braves are leaning towards Mallex in AAA. Braves are leaning towards having a 4 man bench. That bench will consist of Jace, Recker, another IFer, and someone who can play CF. Frenchy fits none of those categories.
