2016 Presidential Debates Thread [2-13-'16 GOP South Carolina]

I'm Rand biased, but I think he's been weak outside a couple of moments. I wish he'd get some economic questions. Christie has been pretty good. Trump is hilarious. I think Rubio has been pretty decent. If I was ever in on Walker, I'd be out after this performance. Are Carson and Cruz even on the stage? Not that they're a big loss, especially Cruz.

I cringe whenever social issues come up.

Agreed - 90% of the debate should be fiscal and foreign policy

Who cares about kasich's hypothetical gay daughter and hypothetical transgendered soldiers?

Love that answer Paul just gave on foreign aid.

Then you have Christie come on and say what America really needs is a stronger military. Yeah, because when I think America in the context of the world, what immediately comes to mind is "weak, underfunded military."

Christie has been really good tonight though despite of your position on his politics. He's low on my list too, but he's had a good debate.

Fox has really dropped the ball tonight. It's been pretty pathetic from their end, actually.

My cock isn't that small.

I think my answer on this God question would probably mark the end of my presidential campaign if I were on that stage...

I agree with you, but I think I'm wrong. I mean when I'm watching the Food Network I want to watch skilled cookers teach me things. I personally change the channel when some random pop star tells me about his/her story while they are making lame ass mac and cheese I could make in my sleep. But apparently there is a huge audience here. There are a lot of people who care about these superficial stories.

From CNN's Nia-Malika Henderson:

"Ted Cruz was a championship debater in college, winning national debate competitions while he was at Princeton. Tonight, he is largely absent on stage, having delivered few memorable lines."
