2016 Presidential Primaries [ SUPER TUESDAY | 3-1-'16]

I would frankly be in favor of a multi party system. In Britain multiple parties have to come up with coalitions to get things done. We would have a better distinction of progressives, blue dogs, moderates, conservatives, libertarians.

I would be down to move to that type of system

but first have to get the moneyed interest out of the process.
I begrudgingly have to say, that ain't happenin' in my lifetime.
To deeply entrenched and to far in the shadows

Plus, I am wondering if this Trump candidacy/ threat hasn't moved the clock of public opinion back in that regard.

The black Valdosta U students tell me they were standing silently in the bleachers when Secret Service told them Trump wanted them removed.

Tomorrow is D-Day. Will Trump and Clinton solidify their nominations? Will shockers happen? Right now aside from a slight lead for Cruz in Texas, all the Super Tuesday states are polling Trump. If we walks out with a ton of delegates he'll be in the drivers seat and the only way to kick him out is for everyone but Rubio to drop out and endorse Rubio. Will the establishment finally start playing their cards?

Unfortunately, Trump will win no fewer that nine states. I think Cruz will take Texas and something I saw today suggests Rubio may take Minnesota. Arkansas could be in play as well. I am literally praying for a surprise tomorrow and Trump doesn't do as well as everyone thinks he will. About all I can do right now.

Carson should be done tomorrow night. I see nothing to suggest he's going to be any bit competitive. Kasich will hang around until Ohio, but nothing suggests a good night for him either. I think Cruz has to have a good night. Not just winning Texas. Even if he takes Texas, if he's behind Rubio in most or all the other states, he's toast.

Heard from one source in Valdosta that group had something to do with an incident of standing on a flag earlier in the year and were planning to do the same thing. Not sure how much stock I put in that. If they were standing silently, there's no excuse for removing them.

By the way, I was at an event on Friday with Bill Clinton when a former Marine and another protester interrupted his speech and were removed after getting into a shouting match where they accused Hillary of covering up details about Benghazi.

I think Clinton will solidify the nomination (really, it's already solidified), but Bernie will probably stick around a little longer, if nothing else to try to push her further left and influence the debate.

Trump will blow it open tomorrow barring a major upset, but I seriously wonder if the "Republican Establishment" won't revolt and fund a third-party candidacy.

The problem with rooting against Trump, a totally understandable action by the way, is that you wind up with either "not ready for prime time Rubio" or the "Devil in Disguise Cruz". Pick your poison I suppose. The Dem side is no better with "I never met a dirty trick I wasn't an expert at Hilldog".

I would have loved to have seen Donald Trump go at it with Ron Paul the same way he kind of belittled Rand.

Rand didn't hav a passionate base like his dad did.

It wouldn't have mattered. Ron uses logic and facts in debates, totally useless in a debate against the Donald. It would be like shooting rubber bands at Shrek, except Shrek is a nicer person.

Minnesota does not play to Trump's strengths, Arkansas and maybe Oklahoma are wild cards. Virginia might be interesting if the last few days of withering fire have damaged Trump at all. I think the biggest question is if Cruz can make enough hay to try to become the anti-Trump, since the establishment-driven narrative is now "March 1 doesn't end the game, wait until the 15th."
