2016 Presidential Primaries [ SUPER TUESDAY | 3-1-'16]

Government property is public property, no?

You support individual liberty when it fits your agenda.

No go back to whining about Bernie's math problem

ANd there are laws in place for said properties. You don't think laws should apply. You're probably one of the people who thinks we should people should just do what they want on National Parks as well. We'll never see eye to eye at all.

It's disgusting... and the like of Hilary and Trump are the ones who encourage.

And it's the libertarians who are the whack jobs

I dont know where you get that from but some problems are just systemic. I dont expect either to do anything about it but they dont directly encourage it. I think both have lived too much of a life of luxury to understand the problems of poor people. When they have legal issues they can bring in the best lawyers in the country. Poor people get told to sell their only means of transportation to work to pay for a mediocre lawyer who has to go against the infinite resources of the state. Donald and Hillary dont have to deal with crooked cops in small towns where any jury you get will be the cops church friends who just cant imagine that clean cut christian fella telling a lie. Clinton and Trump dont have to worry about being killed in prison after spending a year in jail awaiting a trial.

Jill Stein thinks HRC could be worse than Trump. Link

"Trump says very scary things—deporting immigrants, massive militarism and, you know, ignoring the climate," Stein explained on Democracy Now. "Well, Hillary, unfortunately, has a track record for doing all of those things. Hillary has supported the deportations of immigrants, opposed the refugees—women and children coming from Honduras, whose refugee crisis she was very much responsible for by giving a thumbs-up to this corporate coup in Honduras that has created the violence from which those refugees are fleeing. She basically said, 'No, bar the gates, send them back.' You know, so we see these draconian things that Donald Trump is talking about, we actually see Hillary Clinton doing."

Stein also brought up Clinton's militarism. "And it's not only the militarism that Trump talks about, it's Hillary's massive record of militarism," she continued.

"The rush into Libya, which was really—you know, she was the prime mover behind that campaign, which the military advisers were largely against; her approval for the war in Iraq and so on; you know, her threat to bomb Iran; and, you know, she—and her demonization of Russia and China, and the pivot against China. We are rushing towards war with Hillary Clinton, who has a track record," Stein said.

Stein called on Democracy Now listeners not to be "a victim of this propaganda campaign" aimed to discourage third party voters. Asked about criticism that third party candidates like her (Stein is not yet officially the nominee of the Green Party, which holds its convention in Houston in early August) act as "spoilers," Stein rejected the framing.

"This politics of fear has actually delivered everything we were afraid of," Stein said. "All the reasons you were told you had to vote for the lesser evil—because you didn't want the massive Wall Street bailouts, the offshoring of our jobs, the meltdown of the climate, the endless expanding wars, the attack on immigrants—all that, we've gotten by the droves, because we allowed ourselves to be silenced."

Said Mrs. Ralph Nader.

Not a fan of this 3rd party but it would make the debates more interesting. We'd at least have 2 people talking issues and the one shaking his fist.

Interesting listening to high level name veteran campaign managers of both parties define Trump as a lazy candidate

Saying he has lost an awful lot of time in the past few weeks where he could have drawn crisp policy differences between him and HRC, creating organization and cleaning up his primary persona.
He has not moved on - stuck in March and April.
In June

Discussions of his debate prep. If he debates ???

Denying demographic analytics .

Interesting time

Why doesn't @DrJillStein try to get on the ballot in SC, Miss, Alabama, etc? Why just swing states? Who's footing the bill?

When I first came to this board 12 or so years ago Progressives / Liberals were object of derision to the many "we" posters. It was the times of John Kerry was being Swift Boated by a draft dodger and people of New Orleans were being pointed to as culprits of the catastrophe that was the Bush Administration response to Katrina.

People have no idea how good it makes me feel to see read these reports / quotes

...................................

“Every day we learn more about him, and every day it becomes clearer that he is just a small, insecure money-grubber who doesn’t care about anyone or anything that doesn’t have the Trump name splashed all over it. Every day it becomes clearer that he is a thin-skinned, racist, sexist bully,” Warren said. “Every day it becomes clearer that he will never be president of the United States.”

Even before she endorsed Hillary Clinton for president last week, there has been speculation that Warren would join the White House ticket. Neither woman has revealed whether Warren is being considered as a running mate, but the two held private meetings over the past week. Even if Warren doesn’t come on, the senator is proving to be a powerful advocate for Clinton and antagonist of Trump.

Warren took aim at one of Trump’s vulnerabilities, the “university” he founded that now finds itself tangled up in lawsuits, accused of cheating students out of their money.

“It was like a used car dealership, except that’s not fair to used car dealerships,” Warren chided.

“Here is a man who runs a business to profit off other people’s pain,” she said.

Pointing to the mogul’s move to block the release of his video testimony in the Trump University case, Warren said, “Poor little Donald is shaking in his high-priced Italian loafers, begging the court to protect him.”

“Are you scared, Donald? You should be,” Warren said to cheers.

Warren contrasted Trump with Clinton, whom she called a “fighter.”

“We can whine about Donald Trump. We can whimper about Donald Trump. Or we can fight back,” she said. “Me? I’m fighting back.”

This is what should bother "we".
That this is the standard bearer of the school of thought you've embraced since the days of .... Slavery / Jim Crowe / segregation/ names Thurmond / McCarthy / Goldwater / Wallace / Nixon / Reagan
This is what that thinking has come to --- Donald Trump
Evidence ??

Jeb Bush spent over $100M of (R) top donors and that money and that backing and those engrained endorsements couldn't overcome the racist, misogynistic, over the top nationalistic views of Trump.
Y'all built a monster. But the monster isn't Trump per se . It is the policies you've embraced.
If I were of "we"
I'd be rethinking --- what got me here and reflect on what future I really want
....

So tell me, do you really care who uses what bath room or find solutions to accommodate someone that is different. Do you really want to criminalize young women in bad situations or try to find a way our society can eliminate the many societal traps these women find them selves in. Or continue to punish people by the color of their skin and their origins ?
Am I wrong in thinking GOP side of politics has become nothing more than a bunch of dicks ?

She is trying. And I'm glad she's on the ballot in Swing States like New York, California, Washington, South Carolina (your twitter troll's post is wrong) Arizona, Louisiana, Mississippi (again shocking, Dem party nut hugger's twitter post is wrong) and Arkansas. But she's off such lock stats as New Hampshire, Iowa, Minnesota, Nevada, NC, and Virginia.

If you actually did one iota of research instead of assuming that anything you read in a tweet is right, you'd not have posted that weak ****.

Also considering Bakari Sellers is a congressman from SC, the people running his twitter account would have done some research, that tiny iota, to see she was on the ballot.

FWIW she's on the ballot in AR, AZ, CA, CO, DC, FL, HI, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, MS, NM, NY, OH, OR, SC, TX, WI, and WV. She has a post on her site asking to get signatures in the other states. Green party isn't organized on the ground well like the Libertarians, who're already in like 35 states or something.

I agree thinking it great she is on whatever ballots she is on.
Wouldn't mind seeing her along with Gary Johnson make the 15% it takes to get on the debate stage.

To clarify, Sellers works for CNN .

Until 3rd parties make in roads on state and federal legislatures their quest is futile.
Perhaps by making the debate stage and people getting to weigh their idea against the 2 majors ... some candidates will come forward
Can you tell me how many Greens are running for state offices ?

And, who is footing the bill ?

I dunno, donors. Same people who foot Sanders's campaign is my guess. They're big anti-Super PAC so I'm guessing that's the thing.

Who's footing the bill for Hillary? I'll give you a hint, it's not you or I (at least not directly)

What does Hillary Clinton have to do with this conversation ?

Everything since you're basically insinuating (via proxy of posting that tweet) that Stein is bankrolled by people who's interests go against Hillary and the Dems. The guy you linked I looked at his twitter page and he's right up Hillary's ass.

a) I wonder who "foots the bill" as Sellers put it -- no more no less.
In the context of the Green Party I don't think the term "bankroll" applies.
Kinda the point

b) He does support HRC. Still don't know what she or her ass have to do with this question.
Thank you for clarifying her ballot status
Like I said, I'd like to see her on all 50 and get to the debate stage. I think she has a lot to offer.
Don't know about Sellers but it does speak to the question of "footing the bill". How much money does she have available to become anything more than a fringe candidate.

Trump fired Lewandowski who gambled that Trump could continue to insult the world and still get to the White House. Now Paul Manafort is gonna try to work his magic. How long before he either gives up or Trump fires him too?

found these numbers interesting:

West Wing Reports Verified account
‏@WestWingReport

Whites:
1. Trump leads 49%-38% (Monmouth)
2. Romney got 59% in 2012 & lost
3. Given < white electorate (in % terms) Trump may need 65%

A) Stop being obtuse. His intent is direct. You endorsing it is either ignorance, or you're agreeing with him

b) I'm gonna just pretend you're ignorant right now and spell it out. This person is insinuating that conservatives are funding the Green Party to take away votes from Hillary in swing states. That's what it has to do with her. You don't want the green party on the stage, you don't want the Libertarians on the stage. You want the status quo. You've already said that I don't have the right to vote and I can only vote for one of 2 people.
