Preliminary polling in Iowa, Colorado, and Virginia (crucial swing-states) has Clinton trailing Bush, Rubio, and Walker in head-to-heads.

She was leading the field in the same poll in February but has seen that advantage dissipate precipitously ever since.

"Not honest and untrustworthy" ratings for Hillary in two polls this week.

Once the Presidential debates begin it's going to framed by the media as Bill Clinton vs. Bush 43, which term do the Americans want again?

It seems like Hillary is committing a really slow seppuku.

Hillary Rodham Clinton's presidential campaign says the former secretary of state will testify Oct. 22 before the House committee investigating the deaths of four Americans in the attacks in Benghazi, Libya, in 2012.

The committee would not immediately confirm that date.

Campaign spokesman Nick Merrill says the Democratic candidate's testimony will be public. Clinton's lawyers and the Republican-led committee have been negotiating over the terms of her appearance.

The committee chairman, South Carolina Rep. Trey Gowdy, initially requested a private interview.

I like Trey Gowdy. He can make a name for himself if he trips Hillary up. Can Hillary take the fifth on every question or does she need to answer?

Interviews with more than a dozen sources close to the Kentucky senator, all of whom spoke on the condition of anonymity, painted a picture of an underfunded and understaffed campaign beaten down by low morale.

Not a real surprise except in the rapid descent. Thought he'd be a bigger player. He's likely suspect to the Republican base on foreign policy and criminal justice policy. I still think he'll be a player down the road.

Correct me if I am wrong but I remember him losing a key staff member a year or so back.

McCain took a schlaking in NH in 08 - rebuilt his staff

It does seem like he's faded. But all it takes is one moment to bring everyone back to him. It can hit like a tsunami.

wouldn't bet on that. For the most part his recent public speaking has been when he has had the only microphone. And when he is confronted he gets edgy.

Edgy doesn't play well on TV

Going to be hard to stand out with all eyes on Trump. Right now, I'm keeping my eye on Ted Cruz as a guy that might be able to gain some traction. Carson also could make a move. Anything can happen though. Who would have guessed that Trump would be where he is even after the McCain remark. And who can forget Herman Cain's unexpected emergence. It's a marathon though. Really the candidates just kind of need to hang in there till final leg.

If y'all remember, Michelle Bachmann was in Trumps shoes 4 years ago.
4 years before that, Rudy Giuliani

CNN ran opinion polls on matchups, Clinton beats Bush, Walker and Trump, Sanders beats Walker, Trump, and is 1 point behind bush.

In other words, pretty low shot based on early polls of an R taking the white house
