The ample crowds and unexpectedly strong showing garnered by Senator Bernie Sanders are setting off worry among advisers and allies of Hillary Rodham Clinton, who believe the Vermont senator could overtake her in Iowa polls by the fall and even defeat her in the nation’s first nominating contest there.

@zerohedge: MADURO SAYS HE SPOKE TO GREECE'S TSPIRAS BY TELEPHONE TODAY, SAYS GREECE, VENEZUELA IN `ECONOMIC WAR' VS CAPITALISTS

Dear socialists, socialism is being at war with yourself. It requires that you conquer your people, control their choices, enslave them through wage confiscation and cage anyone who won't participate in your scheme. The rest of the world will get along just fine without Greece or Venezuela participating in freedom. But your people will suffer by default. Not because of capitalism but because you shun capitalism.

And no - I don't think the US does it right either

would love for America to be more like Europe in most ways

Do you really believe that? I mean, I know you are always trying hard to be that guy who is controversial and outside the box, but do you really want another Europe? I think peaceful uniqueness is very important for this world. The US picks up ideas from Europe and Europe picks up ideas from the US. It's a good balance. If you don't like living here then move to a different state. Many states have European like systems. I think the idea of a United States where states have freedom to screw up or come up with something awesome (within the bounds of the constitution) is incredible. The European system doesn't work like that... but they are trying.

I think the more power you give to the federal government, and your buddy Bernie will increase that power ten fold, the more you are weakening the idea of a United States.

yes

also, i don't try, much less try hard, to be "controversial and outside the box". i just don't see things the way you do from what i am guessing is different experiences in this world.

like this statement means nothing. a bunch of catch phrases that does well for talk radio and during hannity.

it's like it is stuck in a bubble in time. we have been lagging behind the rest of the world in everything from basic needs like bridges and quality of life to new types of thinking for green energies. we as a society work too much for too little. americans live to work and that is crazy. we should be working to live instead.

we as a country argue over things that have been settled already and we are just stuck in the mud cause of it instead of advancing as well.
If you don't like living here then move to a different state.

i've never understood the "love it or leave it" crowd.

my idea of the USA is the same as the idea it's always been. a melting pot of ideas to be better but hey, you probably know better than I do on what i believe.

Come on... you definitely try. You try hard as ****. I do as well.

I disagree with the second quote reply. Certainly not catch phrases but important cornerstones in our society. Disappointed you disagree, but this is goldfly 3.0 or whatever version we are getting.

I didn't say you should leave the U.S. I said you should switch states. Your last sentence states my belief. the US is a melting pot of ideas. I now think you are an enemy to that idea. How can we have that melting pot when the whole damn country is as boring as casserole, something you now support.

Hillary is running a scared campaign right now.

Will be interesting to see if her strategy changes in the next few months. She's raised $45MM since April -- obviously the Clinton campaign hopes that it can hang on to as much from the pot as possible until the general, but if her numbers keep slipping be prepared to see the claws come out.

“Look, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton and the other Democrats in D.C., they’re for socialism. They just — they’re not as honest as Bernie is,” said Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal on Hugh Hewitt’s radio show last week. “Did you honestly believe we would live to see the day when a guy, an honest-to-goodness socialist, is running for president and doing — he got 10,000 people in Wisconsin to come hear him speak, he’s gaining on Hillary in the polls? This shows you how radical the Democratic Party is.”

haha, Jindal

both sides are for socialism.

i really don't. i like to poke every once and awhile but i'm not trying to be "controversial and outside the box". i just don't see the world as many in this country do

i don't think they are cornerstones. i also am not sure what the "goldfly 3.0" means either

i am not even sure how you got to that conclusion

Hold on to your hats. Former Virginia Gov. Jim Gilmore says he will run, bringing the Republican field to 17. There's enough for some kind of bracket challenge now.

Unlike a lot of you, I lived in Europe for more than 10 years. There is a difference between the countries. England is okay, but the weather and food choices sucked. Netherlands were was good but like England same issue. German was great until unification, taxes went up a lot, social services curtailed and people got chippy with their attitudes. It doesn't matter if you were the star ball player like me who have girls waiting for you if you in to that thing and being married I wasn't. I wouldn't trade living in Europe for the United States. You feel like you are in a sardine can there unlike here. Your options are limited. Visiting is awesome, like Las Vegas, good to visit, horrible to live there unless you want a simple life with high taxes and have to manage your money even more than here to do "other" things.

I'm fine with states rights as long as they aren't used to discriminate. States rights should be used for progressive ideas, not not regressive ones.

What R or D candidate is against Federal Debt? I'll give you a hint, none. Paul may be the only one close.

Want a history lesson? Every president from Hoover on addedto the debt. The biggest additions vs predecessor were FDR (which should be obvious) Reagan, Bush, Bush and Obama. See a trend?

The trend is us because we do things like make this thread and discuss which candidate out of the same crop of criminals that we want to screw us over this time. They are all there to line the pockets of themselves and corporations. Why even discuss them for a second?
