It's hard to define discrimination outside of the clear cut definitions. I'm a big Runnin fan, but I'm not a fan of the statement I'm fine with state rights. I think you should be first and foremost for state rights. That's jmo.
 
It's interesting with Trump and this is a good example of politics in general. You've got to stand out in the pack. And while his wording was unquestionably poor there is a legitimate position there. And he hit some solid notes.

Thanks, but if I lived in a rural area I would not be comfortable with local officials being in charge of education. Or drawing up voting zones.

With the world is getting smaller and smaller.

Yeah, what gets lost in the media frenzy is the fact that Trump's numbers have exploded in national polling -- and he's clearly going to make the debate cut next month.

Say what you will about Trump, but he's run an excellent campaign so far.

that his numbers exploded after his rant

shows why people say what they do about the republican base

that "speech" should sink any and everyone that says the things he did

instead of that, he is with the front runners.

The Republican 'base' is not remotely more of a political anathema (especially to Independents) than the Democratic one.

Anyways, he's leading Republican polling in North Carolina, which recently leans toward the more moderate demographic of the Republican party. That's curious.

I hated the tone he used in that immigration speech, and I've maintained for some time that the Latino vote is going to be huge in 2016 (and why I believe Jeb will be the eventual nominee).

I wish Trump would go away and make more ****eous TV shows/hotels/golf courses whatever.

It will be interesting to see if Bernie gets any traction with Latinos. His views and voting record on immigration are really ****ty. He's more interested in talking about populism, which always resounds with WASPY hipster liberals.

You haven't been paying attention to state-level politics there for the last couple of cycles. HUGE rightward swing. That's the primary base.

Outside of the Triad, maybe? But wouldn't that be an almost inconsequential portion of the voting populace? I am interested in learning more about what you are referring to.

I saw conservative North Carolinians go hard to center in the late 00's (Kay Hagan era) buffeted by increases in this hispanic/black population and haven't seen much to indicate a signal change since. But I haven't looked deeply recently aside from reading that Republicans are prepared for it to go blue again in 2016.
 
If Jeb's last name was for instance Kasish , would he still be in the conversation ?
