2016 Presidential Primaries [ SUPER TUESDAY | 3-1-'16]

Marco Rubio won this debate. He delivered some good body blows on Trump and had him on his heels. Even Cruz supporter Glenn Beck said Rubio "killed it".

Ted Cruz also did well. He attacked Trump and at times, seemed to tag team with Rubio on Trump. He and Rubio didn't really go after each other much.

John Kasich has good thoughts on the issues, but there are times his delivery is lacking.

Dr. Carson was just there it seemed, but he had the best line of the night when he asked "Can someone attack me please?".

This was Trump's worst debate performance. He provided little details on what he would do, especially when asked how Mexico would pay for the wall. When challenged, all he could do was hurl insults at the other candidates, audience, and moderators. He was awful.

I thought Rubio was bad tonight. He seemed flustered to me and came across not ready to be president. The media is pushing him, but I just don't get it outside of their obvious bias. He was constantly attacking and it just seemed too obious. I think technically Cruz clearly had the best night tonight in regards to the most reasonable candidate. But I think Trump came out the winner in the end. I just don't think anyone denied him the nomination tonight. Kasich maybe set himself up well as the future Trump VP.

Rubio had the unqualified, uncontested burn of the night. I mean, it was an epic off the cuff line. On the other hand, he seems antsy and flustered even when he's not being attacked.

Trump was bad. But Trump has been bad in every debate.

Ted Cruz should run for office in Israel.

Kasich is running for VP.

Carson was on the stage.

Overall, pretty much a clown show. Blame it on the moderators if you want to, but it wasn't a pretty picture.

I hate myself for saying it, but Cruz actually came off the best.

It's just a sign of how far down the rabbit-hole this thing is that Mitt Romney is the hatchet man on Trump's tax returns.

It might finally be time for the pubs to get behind Trump. It will be interesting to see if they do... speaking of down the rabbit-hole. Crazy election this year. In fairness though the Sanders/Clinton election is pretty damn whacky as well. Just a fun year.

He is starting to pick up endorsements from Republican members of Congress. If Super Tuesday goes well for him, I imagine we will see a lot more.

Trump was balls in this debate, but he was balls in the others, too. He won SC after going ape**** on GW Bush in Upstate SC. It wouldn't shock me if he maintains those leads that he's showing right now. Nothing would shock me at this point, tbh.

I think that the other guys beat him up, for sure, but did they do anything to make a positive case for themselves? I'm not confident that either senator can win unless the other drops out.

Well, I'm not getting behind Trump unless he is the Republican nominee in November. Even then, I'd be holding my nose while voting for him.

I actually think you and those who are the antithesis of you are key votes in this coming election. Folks who maybe might not show up because it's kind of a weird candidate. Not to judge as I think there are plenty of reasons not to vote for either primary candidate, but it's just interesting to see how much the more reasonable republicans and democrats respond to these weird candidates.

That a con artists is indistinguishable from a conservative should actually worry conservatives.

I thought Rubio (and Cruz) undressed Trump last night. Just not sure it's going to matter. Trump's populist supporters are like those of Trump's counterpart on the left. They really don't care about specifics, details, reality. Until the non-Trump field consolidates, the Don is going to continue to dominate this thing.
