2016 Presidential Primaries [ SUPER TUESDAY | 3-1-'16]

And in favor of what? I know you may not agree with it but do you at least see my point about Christians getting involved in politics?

You are a Christian, right? Are you involved in politics?

I don't think it's a matter of getting involved or not getting involved. It's a matter of how we define involvement and how careful and consistent we are. i think your basic point, as I understand it, is sound - "be careful, don't hitch your wagon to those candidates that pander to you and your issues and yet have no real desire to address those issues in meaningful ways."

I've got good friends whose involvement is basically that of only voting for proclaimed and, as far as can be seen/known, acting Christians, and if those aren't to be found on the ballot, not voting. I'm not sure I am all the way to that point, but I'm getting close.

Aa, you've posted many times that Obama is a pussy and a laughing stock by other world leaders. Do you think that Bernie is not as big, if not a bigger pussy than Obama?

Leaders get respect from strength.

Think about it why I would do this. Do not think I like what I did, but of the lesser evils, he is the only one I can actually trust.

I can't have a felon (Clingon) as a president. I can't have a Rep Obama aka con artist/snake oilsman (Cruz) as president, Trump doesn't know schit from brown pudding if he saw it and he would launch nukes at his first tirade. So it leaves Marty McFly insane scientist the leader by default. His ass - i - nine concoction of free stuff will NEVER and I mean EVER pass in a Rep or Dem lead congress. They are not that stupid....really.

yeah, you're very close. The part I've bolded is pretty much spot on IMO. My basic philosophy about it is essentially, "I shudder when Christians get involved in politics for the same reason that I shudder when Christians get involved in amateur bomb diffusing and for the same reason, from my experience they aren't very good at it". Of course if Christians are trained to a point where they can literally identify the truths involved and tell the difference between a person who really acts like a Christian and those who just "talk the talk" then sure, I have not problem with it. I've just seen SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many Christians over the years walking around with a smug "I vote the Bible" expression on their faces and they never even notice the people they vote for aren't actively pursuing biblical values, except for the "money changers" part of the Bible anyway. We've got some very recent experience here in this very forum that demonstrates what I'm talking about.

Wait till all the small business close shop when they can't afford that.

We always have this discussion don't we. Major corporations that whine and bitch about high taxes, yet they pay little or no taxes, and hide behind what it does to small businesses. I swear the big corporations in this country act more and more like Al Qaeda or ISIS "warriors" every day, hiding behind women and children shooting at American troops, hiding in mosques, shooting at American troops. Yeah, pretty much 6 of one, half a dozen of the other.

And no I"m not really saying corporations are terrorists, just that they're cowardly, greedy, spoiled assed 4 year olds, who are robbing this country blind, using resources out the wazoo, treating their employees (except the few up there in the rarified air) like the North treated immigrants in the 18th and 19th century, using front end loaders to rake in the profits and literally 1/2 of this nation is too blind or gullible or idealistic to see what's really going on.

Yeah I think corps should pay more but I know if they do pay more taxes their prices will go higher and them importing from China and other countries will grow.

I don't know what you can do. Most of those corps are non christian greedy bastards that cares only about wealth and power. None of them donate to the church which helps the homeless or wife beater shelters. My owner does and he doesn't go to church either as a Catholic and tries to get other business that makes over 100 mil a year to do more for the community. We have TWO food pantries which we stock. No other business in town does it, why?

I do my fair share by donating and volunteering with my church and I am not even a Catholic.

Corporations do way more for this country than the government.

Even the big evil Walmart gave $1.4B in donations to charity in 2014. They employ over 2.2 million people. And more than $480B is of affordable goods are sold to people every year.

Speaking of betting, Nate, the markets see today’s results as a big win for Trump, whose probability of winning the Republican nomination is up to 68 percent from below 50 percent earlier this month, according to Predictwise. Bettors apparently expected a Clinton win of this magnitude; her nomination-winning probability has held steady at 92 percent.

Tonight would have only been a story if either Clinton or Chump lost. The fact they won by the margins they did should not be a shock to anyone, unless they have not been paying attention.

It still had to happen.
After all there was Michigan and 2008.
gotta be impressed with 2016 version HRC campaign

I am surprised by two things. Clinton margin of victory and the total vote tally of HRC vs Trump.
Almost 2-1

Trump, ran against a guy that trashed NYC then had to ask for their vote at a critical time.

Yeah, I think it would be a surprise at this point if Hillary isn't the next President. I guess you can't rule out Trump because he's kind of a new thing in the modern era, but as bad as Hillary is (She's awful) Trump seems to be worse.

That's pretty irrelevant though. It's a huge democratic state. So obviously the democratic candidate is going to walk away with a huge margin compared to the pub candidate. What you should look at is how Hillary did compared to the past few democratic primaries in that state.
