2017 Braves DRS

Thought it would be a fun exercise to keep a running total of how the Braves are doing so far.

Suzuki -1

Flowers -1

Garcia - 1

Phillips - 2

Swanson -1

Everyone else is still at 0 but that's not surprising with just 1 week into the season. Also not surprising of those that do have poor numbers so far. Super early returns aren't kind to Phillips who I was expecting to rebound and had hoped last year was just a fluke. Reality is that he's likely done as anything close to a regular starter.

How did defensive metrics like flowers attempt to tag runner out from behind the ump?

Wait you are having trouble with negative. Whaaaat?

The dash sign is next to the number 2 for Suzuki. So it reads -2. To me that is negative 2. Phillips has a space before his number so it reads - 2. Do you see the difference? Is Phillips a positive 2 then?

Seriously. Anytime you and not understanding negative are associated. It needs to be questioned.

Yes and I saw what you are saying. You are a funny guy. I really thought you would have appreciated the joke of all people.

Guess it flew over my head. Hadn't had my Sunday morning coffee yet. Well played.

They had Ender at -2 a few days back, now at 0... I guess the Flowers misplay cost him a saved run but that wouldn't effect him otherwise. I am not seeing where he misplayed anything other than the EOF game in NY he played too shallow on a ball once. But since he has taken back even more it seems to me.

A misplay here or there can really hurt you early on with such a small sample of data.
