Can't wait for the Braves to come back to Dallas. Sucks it's usually like a 5-6 year wait. I'm going to be in Orlando for Star Wars Celebration when the the first home series takes place. Going to try to sneak in going to the Sunday game.

Won't make it till June 8-10 for mets... Hopefully we aren't eliminated from postseason play by then

The Blue Jays season series is back-to-back home and home. Kind of interesting but all weekdays.

I don't see that MLB is really stepping up for the Braves opening in a new stadium. Maybe they can't.

But it would be nice to see a lot of home games against teams that travel well like the NYY (0), the Red Sox (0), Cubs (3), StL (3), Dodgers (3). Probably can't get more of the Cubs and Cards and Dodgers, although sometimes you see a 4 game series instead of 3 like Pittsburgh coming in for 4 in May. Not having any with the Rsox and NYY hurts. The Mariner games will probably be a fan desert in the heat of August, especially if both teams are out, no matter if they played in the Taj Mahal. I don't see the Blue Jays traveling well or the Astros and Rangers really.

Not many home games in April and May which has its benefits and drawbacks (benefits: cooler weather, hope-even if they start slow, novelty of the park; drawbacks: higher chance of bad weather, school is still ongoing).

Big months are June, August and September where August looks especially attendance bleak where after starting with 3 with the Dodgers, it goes downhill fast with 3 vs Miami, 3 vs Philly, 3 vs Cincy, 3 vs Seattle and 3 vs Colorado where even if those teams are good, they don't travel well.

Not trying to be too negative. I just would have hoped that MLB would help out a franchise opening a new stadium where they could.

San Diego opening the new stadium...vomit

Actually that probably is a GOOD thing. People will come to the new stadium early just to see it, to be able to say they were there when it opened, regardless of who the opponent is. The Braves will market the hell out of the opening and will make sure the stadium is full, IMO.

The concern comes in when the novelty has worn off. If management sells the idea of being competitive during the offseason, then they turn out not to be significantly better than they have been this season, the August games could be fan wastelands.

I will be in Orlando too! *high fives*.

Other than the special circumstance of opening SunTrust, the schedule really isn't all that important since they switched up interleague to rotate divisions. Who did the Braves play when they opened up the Ted? I remember Michael Tucker, but I don't remember the opponent.

i find it odd we aren't opening up on opening day or even the sunday kick off game with it being a new park

Well, yeah if MLB wanted to make a big deal of it they should have it as the Sunday Night game, opening week, opening with the NYY, Red Sox or Cubs.

One thing that jumped out to me is there are a couple of those old-fashioned, wraparound Friday-Monday four-game series. I thought those were done away with?

Also, we play the Mets a lot early on.
