It's amusing to see everyone freaking out about not signing Carter, it's not like he is some generational talent we are missing out on if he doesn't sign. He was one of the better prospects in a draft class that was seen as lacking top end talent but being fairly deep with solid guys. He's a solid prospect and all, but we would get the #9 next year in a draft where we would have more flexibility to use the funds due to use having all of our picks (and the slot money that brings). It's not like this is some crushing loss if he doesn't sign, we lose very little (unless he turns into an Ace down the line of course, but equally as much chance the #9 pick next year does that as him).
I know people like to melt about everything on here, but the extreme melting here is kinda weird, particularly with the injury concerns.
