2018 MLB Draft Thread

Jake McCarthy, Zach Watson, Nander de Sedas, Will Banfield. Those are my top targets right now.

I’m impressed. I’d paid more pre-draft attention to amateur players this year than I ever have, and the names I know still probably go 20-25 deep.

So glad we went with Stewart. The fastball-curve combo give him such a high floor. Barring injury, I think he's a dominant reliever at worst. If he develops that change the sky's the limit.

This is kinda of why I preferred Liberatore...he has the lower ceiling, but the higher floor since he already has the plus curve and change up.

Given the Braves’ depth, looming move further down the draft, and international restrictions, that’s exactly why I preferred Stewart over Liberatore: slightly more bust potential, maybe, but higher ceiling at a point in the team’s timeline where that risk makes sense.

Lot of those big money guys are about to go off the board to Tampa and KC in these first four picks of the comp round.
