2018: The Year Of The Venezuelan Trout

again, tho: acuña is .6 behind in fWAR and ahead in bWAR. offensively, sure, it's not close. but all around game-wise, it's much closer than people are implying.

yeah...Acuna is significantly better on defense and on the bases. He'll end up in double digits in steals, and always takes the extra base when he can. Three or four of his doubles have been because of his speed.

There is an insider article up on espn talking about the Soto/Acuna debate. Would be interested in know what it says.

His swing just looks so good right now. Quick and powerful. He certainly seems to be coachable. Thank you Seitzer, assuming he's the one who changed Acuna's stance.

I'm half joking but at the pace he's playing we could very well be 2-3 weeks away before the convo shifts to could he become an MVP candidate, or at least get some votes.

Ronald's having the type of year at 20 that gives you reason to believe that he will be more than just a really good player. Hope it continues.

Hype level is turned all the way up to 10 right now.

Let's all just remember this when he is in the middle of a 2-17 stint and all the amateur swing doctors here are tossing out ideas about "what's wrong with Acuna".
