Posted on another thread, but the Mets FO is likely one that can be had. Anything “Wilpon” seems like it turns into disaster, and isn’t thought out
 
I saw where the Mets were seeking a teams Top 10 prospect in return for Wheeler. Would anyone do Allard, Demeritte, and Luke Jackson for Wheeler?

The last player included would just be fodder and they typically tend to be relievers at the AA/AAA level. And I thought he was on the 40 man for some reason. You can swap out Evan Phillips or someone similar if you wish.

Edit: looks like he is on the 40 man.

Suggesting trades based on getting an extension window, and on being able to extend certain players (especially bullpen pieces) makes the proposals, and ideas just seem that much more unrealistic.

Just like my unrealistic mention that AA might be poking around on Stroman days before you posted that Heyman said he was being discussed?

Posts on this message board are simply thoughts and wishes that fans who have absolutely no inside information or knowledge of the inner-workings of the organization toss out because they popped into their minds. The fact that anyone takes them as anything other than that is hilarious. When you guys come to terms with that you won't be so offended. Understand that this place acts much like The Chophouse - it's just a place where a bunch of people gather around the bar talking about what they'd do if they were in charge with one major difference - no one shelled out any money for a ticket.

Thanks for being so concerned about things that "benefit" me, but I'll pass on the advice - much like you'll pass on my trade offers. I promise I won't lose too much sleep over it.

You don't seem to understand the difference between something being offensive to us and something not making sense to us. He was saying that trade ideas stemming from the idea of extension is unrealistic. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense. And when you say something that doesn't make sense you seem to fall back to the idea that "we are just fans on a message board who don't know what is going on"... Of course that is true. But that doesn't mean that we shouldn't at least try to come up with some ideas that make sense. This is a forum after all. Its purpose is (or should be) to keep us more engaged with the team and to collectively ponder potential ideas that might make sense. By doing this, we all (hopefully) will learn some stuff and gain a better understanding of the game and what the Braves could be doing. If I threw out a trade proposal like "Mookie Betts for Ryan Flaherty?", that would add nothing to the discussion because it is a ridiculous trade idea. Not saying that trades based off of extensions meet that level of insanity, but they probably aren't as realistic as one would hope.

But this idea that we are offended seems like a defense mechanism, much like some of your other posts about running out of porn and whatnot, because the collective here has looked at your ideas about trade, valuation, free agency, metrics, etc. and mostly found them to be not that good. So instead of the defense mechanisms, which I understand could be easily triggered by your arch enemy on here, maybe try to better your understanding of such things so that your posts will have more merit. Or don't. Its whatever.
 
Greg Holland is getting released...I know he's been terrible this year, but maybe he just needs a change of scenery. The would be able to get him for prorated min too.
 
Holland is toast me thinks. Velocity has slipped, and his slider which was by far his best pitch, is getting poor ratings. May be its rust, but the declining velocity is pretty telling to me.
