2018 Trade Deadline ROSTERBATION

Just asking if the Braves trade for Jt Realmuto you believe this will be a Mark Teixeira light version trade?

He has more control, Braves won't have a catcher ready from the system until 2021 (although he looks great, Contreras' younger brother, and could be a similar bat).

Not really if it were to happen. With the catcher tandem beginning to fail, it's probably going to need to be ended after this year. At the very least, one of Flowers or Suzuki likely won't return.

ETA: Unless of course, you don't buy that the Braves are going to be good until it happens by accident (which may be the case if we don't see the year 4 make the playoffs thing), and then it could wind up that way.

Whatever happens this year, this team really needs to figure out how to stop backsliding in second halves.

AA should have landed a reliever or two a couple weeks ago. The pen is such an area of need. But I'm not going to declare the deadline a bust until the deadline passes and we fail to legitimately improve the team.

If we don't make a solid addition or two during the deadline, I'm gonna start thinking that AA wasn't completely honest when he said we had the money to add a starter, reliever, and bat at the deadline. Gonna be patient, but the lack of moves thus far has been frustrating to some degree.

Watch it, Enscheff will call you a 17 year old throwing a temper tantrum.

There were 16 trades involving 48 players in the final 36 hours of the 2017 trade deadline.
