2018 Trade Deadline ROSTERBATION

If a rental doesn't mind a rebuild and wants to eventually win a championship, but wants to stay put where they are, I've always wondered why they don't get together with the team trading them and pull a Chapman. Where there is an unspoken agreement that you go play somewhere else for the rest of the season, we'll get some prospects to help out moving forward, you get a shot with a contender, and then we bring you back in the offseason. It would seem like it would make sense to do that in those narrow circumstances lol

Just like Kenny Lofton

Gausman helps us none in the playoffs. **** that.

Gausman would almost certainly be our 2nd or 3rd best SP, depending on how you view Newcomb. He would definitely help our team out in the playoffs. Of course this is just my layman opinion. I don't know athletes.

Don't forget about Schoop. Would be a good fit to replace Flaherty (though he bats RH).

I think the deal with Baltimore might actually just be Mychal Givens (which if to the Braves though doubtful, would be nice, he's another bounceback candidate).

1:49pm: Eduardo A. Encina of the Baltimore Sun reports that the Orioles are discussing a trade of second baseman Jonathan Schoop and, potentially, Gausman (Twitter link).

Schoop has pop but do we really need him? He’s a regular and would just be a bench piece here. Unless Camargo is in one of the deals.
