Pache got beat by a pitcher painting the outside corner twice.
You can look at his frame and see why people projected power. He is built powerfully.
Can the braves find room for him next year? Will he be ready? Do you want him up at 21? Are you going to be ok when he is a 750 ops? I still don’t think Robles has a better track record. Pache looks like he has a frame to be significantly bigger.
What’s the general consensus these days on Anderson?
Not a stat cast darling, but seems to get a lot of Ks.
There was talk of him having a low spin rate on his curve so there are concerns that it won't play up in the big leagues.
The origin of that information is mysterious. It was dropped in as off hand comment in a fangraphs chat.
I’m ready to see his stuff. Wish I’d known to record or whatever today.
Agreed - I refuse to believe that someone can be so difficult to hit while striking out of 11 per 9 innings and not have plus stuff.

He’s never been one to generate a high ground ball rate either though which lends credence to the idea that he has a low spin rate.Leading AA in Ks suggest a certain degree of stuff, but sometimes it doesn’t translate.
One thing with Anderson is that he’s basically never struggled and has always struck a lot of guys out. Dunno. We’ll find out eventually.
I’m not even sure what he throws. Seems like his fastball is desribed as a heavy ball with a lot of sink, which fits with the spin profile, but doesn’t ever seem to be destined as as a two seamer.
