2019 Trade Deadline Thread:

I really don't understand franchises like the Reds. This seems like such a boneheaded move. They just moved easily their best prospect for a guy with 1.5 years of control in a non-competitive year. It'd be so depressing being a Mets or Reds fan.

So far.

Logan Allen, Franmil Reyes, Puig to CLE.
Bauer to CIN.
Trammel to SD.

Cleveland got alot for Bauer, damn.

Great win now&later move for Cleveland, good move for SD, weird move for Cincinnati.

If we can get Smith from SF then the bullpen looks pretty good. Smith, Jackson, Martin, Swarzak, and Newcomb isn’t bad at all.

Yeah that's probably even more of a head scratcher than what Cincy did. It would seem Cleveland robbed two teams blind in 1 trade.

I actually like it. They turned a good pitching prospect and a DH and turned him into a REALLY good outfield prospect. Not bad. Reds were the only head scratchers in this deal, imo.

I didn't know how bad Reyes' defense was. Just thought he was good hitting OFer with several years of control. It makes a good bit more sense for them now considering the defensive limitations.

That’s a pretty good haul for Bauer considering the Indians needed bats, want to win this year, and were likely looking to unload Bauer after his ball throwing incident.

I'm glad we avoided Puig and Bauer. I had wanted Bauer until he threw that ball into the outfield. I dont want either headcase.

Never wanted Bauer since he called out the Astros last year in a bizarre manner. Then continued the bizarre behavior into the off-season and into this season. He comes off as a tool and a media whore.
