Once Scott Schebler passes his physical, a roster move will be made to place him on the active squad/.

Jeremy Walker went on what was then the 60-day DL in late June. I had to check on that to make sure, but I vaguely remembered that had happened. I don't know why that hasn't been noted anywhere other than his player page at both mlb.com and milb.com.

My guess is either Culberson or Hechavarria will be the casualty of Schebler joining the team.

Why are we putting Schlebler on the active roster? Doesn't make sense. Certainly not over a guy like Culberson.

Culberson should be the easy choice, between the two, given that he's much more redundant on the roster, being a right-handed hitter and not a very good defender at SS. But he's got that strong pull on the clubhouse/org, so who knows.

He has no more options left - just like most veterans - has nothing to do with claiming him off waivers.

Now that they're on the 40-Man Roster, Hechavarria, Charlie, Tomlin, and Chacin can't just be "sent down" - they have to make it through waivers, THEN accept the assignment rather than choosing to sign with someone else that's willing to put them on their active roster.

This is how we got Schebler.

Didn't read correctly that he was asking about active roster.

Both Flowers and d'Arnaud worked out today.

Both #Braves catchers d'Arnaud and Flowers worked out and felt good today (they split them, had one in Atlanta and one in Gwinnett). Snitker said chance that one of them could even be ready to play Wednesday's home opener. Wouldn't say if one was ahead of other in recovery.

Isn't it concerning that both our catchers got sick from some unknown virus.

I’m guessing they didn’t have severe symptoms. In a normal season both probably would have taken some DayQuil and played through. But with the fear of it being COVID they were held out awaiting test results.

so...D'Arnaud is filipino...board leader is filipino...D'Arnaud and Flowers get sick from unknown virus of filipino origin...connect the dots folks....wake up ChopCountry...

They should probably never be in close proximity to each other the rest of the year. Zoom catchers meetings and stuff.
