Three key provisions of the USA Patriot Act, which give the Trump administration broad surveillance powers, are set to expire on March 15 unless Congress votes to reauthorize them.

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) is the only leading democratic presidential candidate in Congress who is publicly opposing them.

“I voted against the Patriot Act in 2001, 2006, 2011 and 2015. I strongly oppose its reauthorization next month,” he tweeted on February 11.

“I believe that in a democratic and constitutional form of government, we cannot sacrifice the civil liberties that make us a free country.”

Biden is probably going to win SC, but by a much narrower margin than he’d previously enjoyed, and with Bernie significantly eroding his AA base. Nobody else is going to come out of SC with anything positive, and nobody is going to remember SC three days later.

The ability to see a doctor when you are sick should not be a luxury for those who can afford it. It should be a guaranteed right for all.

Michael Bloomberg's attacks on socialism show he is stuck

in 20th-century thinking, says author Anand Giridharadas.

"There are people who clearly have Cold War trauma, and I

feel for them, but we're not actually in

the Cold War anymore."

Oh you got me. Bernie came in second in a primary. Biden is still toast. Do you really want Biden to win so we get 4 more years of Trump?

Implicit in your question is a belief Bernie has a better chance. I doubt it.

He’s got a worse chance. Why zito and Cajun think they’re smarter than than the James Carvilles and Chris Matthews of the world is beyond me. Matthews and Carville know the money guys and shot callers of that party. If they say policy guys and financial backers will stay home, they will.

Mayor Pete drops out, Warren on life support. Bloomberg doesnt have friends, Sanders raised $46M in Feb. and playing to packed houses.
Biden won Lindsey Grahams state.
He did make it to Super Tuesday.

If the (D) establishment blatently denies Sanders, which it seems their want, there will be no more party

Lot riding on Tuesday

will be a very interesting couple of days

Whether Pete’s support goes to Bernie is beside the point. What it will absolutely do is push Biden/Warren/Bloomberg to the 15% delegate line which increases the chance of brokered convention.

Bernie is in trouble.

Via 538:

“Pete Buttigieg’s decision to drop out of the race two days before Super Tuesday has hurt Sen. Bernie Sanders in our primary forecast. Sanders’s chances of winning a majority of pledged delegates fell from 28 percent to 23 percent. And the likelihood that no candidate gets a majority rose slightly from 59 to 64 percent. Former Vice President Joe Biden’s majority chances were unchanged. “

A brokered convention forcing out Bernie is party suicide. The election will be nothing but a victory lap by Trump while the Clinton Democrats try to blame the Bernie voters for not voting for their piece of **** candidate. God help me if they bring the decaying political carcass that is Hillary back.
