Both of these points point to your ignorance. USPS wouldn't be doing volume if they were operating on a profit. There's a reason no one sends a letter via UPS or Fedex. They cannot handle it, and they don't want to handle it. I like UPS as a shipper, because they do offer better service than USPS, but that comes at a cost. Aside from cross country shipping, UPS is significantly more expensive than USPS, not even including our special business rate for small packages from USPS. It costs basically 10 bucks to get onto UPS's truck. I can ship light products all through New England for less than that.
This innocent comment of a proud dad for his beautiful daughter impacts literally nothing and you compare it to kamala throwing innocent people in jail.

Women would be mich more prone to the theory of the silent majority. In front of people they'd be embarassed to support removing low income housing but when they think of their children they may vote differently.
We will jist have to wait and see.

Wouldn't shock me if they had a recession of their own. The death of retail, and office space (with more people showing they can work from home) being two sectors to suffer in the near term.
Residential tax base has been decimated. Property values in western nassau County towns are skyrocketing.
Cant say I'm too upset about this as I'm benefitting greatly. Got a random text message yesterday actually asking to buy my house for cash. Feeding frenzy.
But once another great mayor like Rudy is elected itll come right back.

New York is a destination city. With tourism down, it will hurt a lot of business, and while work from home will hurt some aspects, not every company can function in that manner and will return to NYC. What's exciting is the opportunity of those office buildings turning into apartments and building more residences and lowering housing costs.
Without a solid commercial tax base big cities cease to exist.
