OO spits on the doctrine of Christianity. He may go out of his way to mirror the prejudices of tribal people who identify as Christian, but that's not defending Christianity. He's defending and letting them feel good about their flaws, which is pretty shrewd. But it's going to hurt Christianity in the short and long run, just like he is hurting the GOP.

His actions in terms of judges and defending life says a much different story and actual Christians who see that would beg to differ with your assessment over the party death.

the problems of blue states and blue cities are on their governors and mayors...just like the problems of red states are on their governors...right?

The job of the government is to protect our rights.

Actually not everyone agrees with you on what the job of government is. Our founding fathers set forth the following as proper objectives:

1) form a more perfect Union

2) establish justice (hmmm)

3) insure Domestic tranquility

4) provide for the common defence (old style spelling)

5) promote the general welfare (double hmmm)

6) secure the Blessings of Liberty (#6 on the list!)

maybe striker can chime in on whether I am being too much of a literalist or textualist
