potentially found the crime. He has profited from lobbyists, politicians and foreign officials at his businesses which are losing tens of millions of dollars. Now I would bet some of those are legitimate for whatever reason but not all of them. If these were successful businesses and the money from these groups was negligible I would agree its not that big of a deal but if the rest of the reporting is correct about him losing tens of millions a year while having 421 million in loans due mostly in the next 4 years it provides an understandable motive. Having not seen it let me say beforehand if its like 0.001% of his income then I dont care. This isnt about someone buying a hotdog in Trump tower lobby who shouldnt have. If the totals are in the millions then yes its a big deal. Just offhand I know it was reported OG AG William Barr held a 30,000 dollar DoJ Christmas party at Trump Hotel which is entirely inappropriate by itself.

I'm disappointed.

Based on nsacpis 437 consecutive novels posted, I'd assumed this was a big deal.

Silly me.

Nsacpi is duped once again.

Another episode of "OMG!!!! WE GOT TRUMP NOW!!!!!!" which turns out to be another nothingburger. How many of these have there been? You'd think these people would learn over time but they never do. It's like a dog chasing its own tail.

After being criticized for months over a lack of transparency when it came to his taxes, Mitt Romney has revealed his 2011 returns, which show the candidate paid $1.9 million in taxes on $13.7 million in income, an effective rate of 14.1 percent.

That figure falls in line with Romney's estimate in August that he paid "13.6 [percent] or something like that."

But Romney only reached the 14.1 percent mark by limiting deductions taken from his considerable charitable giving. Had the Romneys taken all of the deductions made available by their $4.02 million in 2011 donations, his effective tax rate could have been as low as 10.4 percent.

Is there a crime here?

Ronald Brownstein
@RonBrownstein

“he is personally responsible for loans &other debts totaling $421 million,w/most

of it coming due within 4 years. Should he win re-election, his lenders could be

placed in the unprecedented position of weighing whether

to foreclose on a sitting president”

By not using all the available deductions, Romney paid an additional $500,000 to the federal government.

Call me crazy but I think people should pay as few taxes as legally possible.

If you don't youre kind of an idiot

its not about how much he paid in taxes its that he isnt nearly as successful as he claimed to be which in turn means he didnt pay taxes because he wasnt making money.

Most of Trumps debt is to Deutsch Bank which was being investigated by the SDNY when he came into office. Trump said he wouldnt fire the SDNY attorney and then as soon as he took over he did it. If DB was being investigated and Trump took any step to hinder that investigation while owing them hundreds of millions of dollars which he has may not have a realistic chance to pay off if the report about his earnings are correct, that is atleast worth investigating and potentially a very serious crime.

and what money he did make , he welched on those responsibilities.

Just like he welched on contractors in Atlantic City.

Guessing our resident Libertarian feels " only an idiot" pays the sheet rock hangers and electricians he contracts.
Bankruptcy.
Perfectly legal

We told you this would happen
