2020 Spring training vacation planning

Does anyone know the area? We’re looking for a clean hotel to stay in, but I know nothing about the west coast below Tampa. Do we stay in Sarasota? Venice? Ft. Myers? Is one town better than the other?

They are all awesome - if you don’t mind a little driving up to the park each day, I would look at Sanibel island - If you want beach environment-
 
If you just want clean hotel near ballpark- id stay right in Sarasota - great town, lots of boats/ waterfront bars and restaurants and such - the further the south, the more expensive etc -
