Skin in the game means you leave the country to the next generation better than what you left it. 2-5-10-100 years is nothing compared to the long game.

1) I didn’t realize having a family was the only way to make future generations better.

There is certainly a portion of the right that wakes up and thinks about trump, but there's an even larger group on the left that does the same. To let a politician that isn't even in office dominate your thinking is just sad for both groups. If Americans spent as much time thinking about their spouse as they do trump, divorce wouldn't be some rampant

2010 Democrats had 257 seats going in. So only 35 more seats to lose. Thats only slightly more than half the difference.

2018 Democrats had 235 seats going in. So there was actually less seats for them to pick up than there was for Republicans this year.

2018 Democrat's had 194 seats going into the mid-term

2010 Republicans had 179 seats going into the mid-term

So when you start from a worse position its eaiser to gain seats
 
There’s a reason why Kemp beat Abrams by 7-8 points and (R) has to resort to blaming the (L) for their failure to win the Senate race. Nominate better candidates, not brain dead novelty acts playing Trump karaoke.
