So basically I’d feel good if any of those guys made it to us.

I’d like him or the power hitting wake 3b.

It’s interesting that basically everyone is saying high school pick - which won’t come cheap if the names they’re mentioning are correct. Then Kiley says Floyd, who would be an underslot guy. Basically the exact opposite approaches depending on who you listen to.

Fangraphs says Kent State LHP Joe Whitman, who would also be an underslot guy. I’d prefer Floyd over him.

I think the high school guys being conjectured would be at least at slot and in some cases maybe a bit more. The extra pick gives them some ability to move money forward and take a low-ball senior sign at #70. I imagine there are multiple scenarios in play depending on who is there at #24. They likely have everyone's "number" as to what it would take to get them to sign.

Didn't see it mentioned, but Longenhagen at Fangraphs has us taking Kent State LHP Joe Whitman at #24. He's #37 in the MLB rankings (as if that really means anything). Probably underslot.

EDIT: I see CJ9 checked out Fangraphs right about the time I did.

Darren Daulton has got to be the one of the weirdest comps for a player born in 2004. Praise god we never hired Dan O’Dowd

Still some interesting guys still on the board, but not expecting them to be there when we pick.

I didn't think Jacob Gonzalez would be there at #18. Wish we coulda somehow got him, and I hate ole miss... he's a great player

Houck and Wilken are both still there. I’m hoping for 1 of those 2.

Lot of guys i'm okay with, i could see us go underslot early and then overslot elsewhere. But might depend if someone really too good is staring them in the face and they cant pass on them.
