I know a lot of people wanted Houck and I liked him a lot, but I’ll tell you as a Florida fan, Waldrep can be special.

My unpopular opinion among my UF buddies - I really question the way Florida is developing pitchers and have said for a while he is going to take off in pro ball. The split is unreal, the fastball is mid to upper 90s but even the slider got good swings and misses. There are a ton of pieces here, and with our player development, I’m just telling you guys - this is going to be a fun development to follow.

Watched Waldrep when he was at Southern Miss.

He's the real deal.

Strider came up and helped us last year in the bullpen. I wonder if Waldrep could be similar.
