It's a trap. They're trying to make the story all about who wins. That's silly, VA is a dark blue state now, the story is either a. that it was so close in a heavily blue state, or b. that the pollsters were so wrong. Youngkin actually winning the election is still a stretch goal.
 
Agreed. This is kind of what was done with Biden during the debates. If we was able to put together one sentence it was seen as an accomplishment based on the expectations put forth by most.

Despite a most likely win for t he Ds the playbook is out there.

Education and the economy will be the #1a/1b issues moving forward. Crush the communists by not allowing them to teach our children.

VA was a deep blue state.

GOP won all three races, which they haven't done won any of since 2009.

They flipped the legislature.

The left has gone insane and Youngkin found a winning message.
 
And the Youngkin campaign spent a lot on ensuring election security. Massive participation for poll watchers.
