The border is by far the biggest issue facing the nation leading up to this election (unless the Dems can manufacture something else). The only way Biden can save face on a national level is to completely shut down the border, which he already has the power to do. Existing law already requires homeland security to detain illegal immigrants at the border. The problem is the Biden Administration's policy of catch and release. But Biden won't do that because that would undermine the Dems. And the border will continue to get worse. And Biden will continue to cry on TV about not having the power, even though he clearly does.
If funding is the issue, he doesn't need congressional approval for that either. He can divert funds already allocated, just like Trump did with his pointless wall.

Even if he shuts down the border it makes the Dems look bad because it makes Trump right and outwardly shows the Dems allowing an invasion into our country. They ****ed themseleves big time and Abbott really helped out with his bussing migrants to cities and not trying to get cheap PR stunts leading up to a presidential run.
Trump completely changed the national narrative on illegal inmigration and we are never going back to what it was before.
If a wall is pointless then tell me how you police the whole border without any obstruction to divert flow? Going to hire another 200K border patrol agents?
How are drones going to stop invasions at all entry points?
The wall is a fixed one time cost with limited maintenance. It’s an amazing bang for your buck to help stop illegal immigration.

I'm fully aware of the polls. Biden is one of the worst presidents in history. Basically anyone nominated would likely beat him.
But, 2024 will be non stop Trump court room drama. Literally non stop. He's likely to be convicted. Biden has something 5x more money than trump. The RNC is broke.
And the ballot harvesting operation is really all that matters here. The dems have a machine, and the GOP doesn't. The GOP has a guy in a court room for the next 8 months
Biden SHOULD lose... but I believe we nominated the one guy who won't make it happen.
