That they may be coming around to the idea that Trump isn't as bad as they thought should not be a surprise. He is meeting them where they are

Someone who rules towards the middle is better than someone who rules on the edges.

Its a good thing that Trump changed the game on immigration and trade. You don't like it but the majority of the country clearly does.

1. If you're argument that becoming the socialist lite party is good.for the long term, then we simply disagree

2. The majority of the country does not seem to agree. The election results are what they are. Even in 2024, he's likely to be out voted again

I don't disagree that the majority of the country support socialist policies though

Well you don't understand a pragmatic approach to a population that has been brainwashed for decades.

You'll see how this plays out over time and you'll feel like an idiot for taking the positions you have the past 1.5 years.

I mean most Republicans elected have "governed to the middle" and that's gotten us to the 5 yard line of the left side of the field

I was hoping Trump was gonna be the monster I was promised.

A shame the Republicans of yesteryear (you know the Romneys you said were better) blocked almost all of what Trump wanted to do

Oh, if we want to talk about the military killing people in the name of national security, I’m on board with locking up everyone involved. I care just as much about the thousands of non-citizens killed though.

For the US military specifically killing an American citizen in one of our many, many drone strikes? No. For his complicity in killing innocent children in the name of killing terrorists? Yes.

Because I don’t need to ask where this poor teenager was born to want justice for his death, and don’t think his status as a US citizen complicates the ethical dilemma any more than the initial problem of us killing civilians to begin with.

This is actually very debatable before you even get to Obama’s involvement or legal culpability in the decision. Still, if we want to start prosecuting those in power over drone strikes, I’ll jump on that wagon.
