President's have the power to veto a spending bill until it has funding for something he wants (like a wall)

What's funny is how much of a weathervane so many of the posters around here are. A few weeks ago they were convinced of his invincibility. And rejoicing in it. Now they worry he's gonna lose to Kamala. They're a bunch of Nervous Nellies and Anxious Annies if you ask me. But what would you expect from a bunch of Braves fans.

You claim republicans stopped him from building a wall. Guess what, Trump has leverage here. He can simply say do not send me a spending bill without a wall or else it will be vetoed.

Then he gets his wall.

Stop making excuses for every failure

I've long contended Trump was the only candidate who could possibly lose to Biden, who was the worst presidential candidate of my life

I think Kamala is a worse option as a president but clearly a better option as a candidate, so his chances got worse when that switch was made

What you call an excuse I call reality. You can continue to pretend the trad republicans who were in corporate pockets ever would have given Trump a wall. It just took a handful. But again - your position starts always with Trump sucks and he was awful.

Trump puts public pressure on Republicans to build the wall, they refuse. OK, now go vote them out.

We didn't even get a threat from the great negotiator. He signed everything they put on his desk.

Are you to tell me that in a 2nd Trump term, if Republicans don't want to fund the wall, then that's it? Game over? Trunp will just go along with what they want to fund?

I assume then that you think Trump will behave differently.

If behaving differently is needed, then wouldn't that imply that original behavior didn't work? I.e, failure? I.e. his fault?
