2024 Field

Shut the **** up with this nonsense, I have *repeatedly* expressed I don’t think they should have prosecuted Trump for the violations, and that the only positive I could see coming from it would be if we apply that same energy to all money in politics.

I do still contend the only problem with the ticket swap was the lack of a competitive Primary.

And yet you still vote for the very same people who continually take a dump on democracy. That makes you complicit in all of it.

100% - Its all fake outrage to pretend like you don't agree with it while you vote for the tyranny EVERY SINGLE TIME.

Oh they wouldn't and htat isnt the point.

The whole point is hte people 'showing up for Harris' aren't there for Harris at all.

She has no true support. Its a complete psyop.

That still doesn’t seem like a particularly major detriment for her chances? This isn’t a situation where it really matters if they personally believe in Kamala Harris. It’s to build excitement amongst younger voters.

I’ve spent my whole life watching the Republicans do the same stuff to people, just for different reasons.

Yes, or the RNC would have been able to pull better than Scott Baio and Kid Rock.

The entertainment industry ostracizes anyone famous that takes a right wing stance. I recall there was a huge petition online to get Chris Pratt removed from GTG because they found out he went to church so he must be a bigot.

And yet Chris Pratt remains? I actually do agree with you that some celebrities have been unduly criticized for their benign political beliefs. By all accounts Chris Pratt is a perfectly decent guy, which is all that really matters in my book.

But there’s a stark difference between claiming the DNC just paid better and that their audience wouldn’t approve of them supporting right-wing causes. The latter is an interesting discussion topic, but not particularly instructive for how voters feel about Kamala Harris rallies.

That's a terrible mindset.

Not really. I personally would vote for any republican over the dems right now because I know voting for the libertarians is throwing my vote away.

Trump has a lot of moral failings but he's a lot better than the alternative.

I was hoping Bill Weld would be the Libertarian Party's nominee a few cycles back. He's a very talented guy (now too old) who had an impressive track record. I would consider voting for someone like Weld regardless of party label.

You could easily vote 3rd party if your moral compass was that important.

Nope, I’m above all else a realist with my vote. A vote for a third-party candidate is less likely to bring about the policies I want to see implemented and more likely to bring about the ones I don’t. I can take other steps to advance my ideals, but the ballot box is not currently set up to allow me to make a protest vote in good conscience. I’m also not sure there’s third-party candidate I’d prefer this cycle.

Yeah, this is where I stand but on the opposite side. I’ll complain to any Leftist that will listen that Harris and Dems generally suck. But one of two people will be President in January 2025, and I’d personally rather roll the dice on Harris than Trump.
