2024 Field

Are you saying Q4 19 being one of the booming times of our lives is a fallacy?

Did we not have periods of peace (and pending peace with Abraham accords)? Did we not have exploding wages for non-supervisory Americans? Did we not have a border under control?

I'm just curious if you are mocking it to rib me or you think its based on a lie?

I remember many American cities being burned to the ground and Trump tweeting "LAW AND ORDER" over and over again

I don't recall many Florida cities being burned to the ground

If that's the peace you're looking for?

Because RDS would be for the same things that boomed the economy like tax cuts and drilling.

All I know is that Trump was ostracizing RDS for opening Florida too early after Covid. What does that tell you?

RDS and Trumps economic policies are not the same and you would get more Republican classic when it comes to RDS. I'm sure RDS would DEFINTIELY support even bigger tax cuts for the wealthiest Ameicans thats for sure. Trump was successful because he didn't push the same policy set as traditional republicans and he was the first to push Drilling/Immigration control/Manufacturing buildup/trade restrictions with CCP. RDS and the rest of the "MAGA" wannabes are just duplicating what Trump DID.

Trump wasn't perfect during COVID and I said that many times. I just know Trump wouldn't be ostracizing people for not taking the vax like RDS was as late as mid 2021.

I think it’s looking at history with rose colored glasses.

Serious question - does it even matter if I elaborated? Seems like you have your mind made up either way

Tell me what I'm wrong about without brining in theoretical discussions on high functioning economies.

Tell me I'm wrong about a period of peace we didn't see for decades.

Tell me I'm wrong about a border that was getting as secure as its been in who knows how long.

I'm just wondering what's wrong without getting into a 'free trade' nonsense conversation when one of the players is a super powered CCP slave state.

Most people understand that Trump brought the country to heights we haven't seen in our lifetimes (for most of us). But we are supposed to just assume RDS who came in with a state majority and controlled a state with 2 decades plus of amazing population/economic growth would even come close to the same?

Trump major legislative victory was signing Paul Ryan's tax cuts

Trump spent more money than any president in history. Trump did not veto a single spending bill

The biggest wealth transfer in history happened during the Trunp administration

Fed bucks and trade wars

Might be a more catchy name for your book

Here is just an example of where RDS will never succeed on the big stage. Its just his personality type. He wants to be in the weed (AND IS GOOD AT BEING IN THE WEEDS) but as a figure on the world stage it would be a nightmare.

He should just come home to MAGA, ditch the eGOP types, and be a kick ass attorney general.

Lol gosh it would be so terrible having an operator who understands the process of everything and maximizes the power he has, instead of offloading it to Anthony Fauchi and Jared Kushner

Give me the guy instead who promised a big beautiful wall that will be paid for by Mexico

Real wages and the poverty rate were the best this country has seen in decades. There's no argument there.

Ah - The theoretical. Not evaluation of actual results where regular people were making money and global terrorist orgs were being destroyed.

Let me give you the output of this formula and tell you why Trumps economy wasn't that great!

Oh well

Thethe is too stupid to understand that the fed is critical to everything, and Trump had the most favorable fed policy of any president ever

He also is on record that his 8 trillion in debt had nothing to do with inflation

A formula that is taught in intermediate level econ courses didn't like Trumps choices though....

Sucks for all those regular people that were making more money than ever and had massive increases in purchasing power!

What was the specific policy that resulted in "regular people making more money" that is no longer in place?

It was too bad this inflation problem came out of nowhere.

Ah - Inflation issues.

Well there is a strong argument to be made that the initial influx into the economy during 2020 was needed because of the dramatic drop in aggregate demand. Even with those infusions inflation was mostly held in check.

However, when the mandates were instituted it sucked hte life out ot he economy. The continued lockdowns in 2021 sucked the life out of hte economy. WIthout hte 2020 steal we never have mandates and the economy is not crushed as it was. There would be less need, maybe no need, for additional infusions of capital to bring aggregate demand back to normalized levels. So pinning 'inflation' as if its mostly Trumps fault is just well LAUGHABLE and I'd expect better from someone as smart as you.

Also, the debt service costs on the instruments Trump issued were less than that of Biden so it gave us more wiggle room to adjust from a budgetary perspective so that was a plus at the time.

Omg he still thinks Trumps debt isn't impacted by today's higher interest rates

You can't fix this level of stupid

Did the debt lower or raise between 2016 and 2019?

Did the debt increase in 2020? What were the stimulus checks used for besides PS5’s and iPhones?

I’d vote for Trump right now if you could help me understand how his spending has no side effects.

I don't think I ever said that the spending done had no side effects did I?

I can't help that people spend their money on stupid things but wouldn't you say that purchases of any order are good for a economy?

I'm just wondering why you would pin inflation on Trump when it was really all the tack on issuances when the country was unnecessarily shut down that caused most of this along with the insistence on peeling back our future domestic energy production. To go along with wars that we started with Russia as well.
