The Dems are abandoning a demonstratedly poor plan only after it has failed in embarrassing fashion during an election year. But the plan they want to replace it with comes nowhere close to meeting what needs to be done and what the GOP wants done.
The deal is a glorified amnesty and codification of hordes of bull**** asylum cases which will just lead to later amnesty bills. You know exactly what this bull**** is.
1. It primarily only applies when illegal crossings exceed certain average levels in a day. Why is having a closed border dependent on how many are crossing? A closed border is the goal entirely, aside from points of entry.
2. Who exactly keeps track of how many crossings there are? If it's anything like the jobs reports we've seen in recent months, we can guarantee those numbers will be fudged and used at the benefit of whoever is in office.
3. Biden is also attaching along another 110 billion in Ukraine support to the bill, as if Ukraine has anything to do with the border crisis.
And this is only for starters. I just don't want to eat bandwidth with a 10 paragraph response.
What I want to see is money spent wisely on a proper solution. Work with the Mexican government on a united front to reduce large migrant groups from trying to cross the border. Double the number of border patrol officers.
Set up outpost stations every 50-100 miles along the border with active patrols 24/7. Establish a fleet of reconnaissance drones patrolling the air, ideally on both sides of the border to identify people trying to cross illegally.
I would also severely limit the amount of amnesty seekers we accept over the next 5-10 years.

If you look at what idiots like 'Unfiltered Boss' (whose takes are often EXACTLY duplicated on this forum) and others are saying they are attacking him for saying its time to now support Trump and that the primary is over and hte most important thing is to beat Biden.
But apparently RDS is going to 'unsuspend' his campaign and come back into it.
As I said from the beginning - These people purposefully sabatoged RDS because he was such a strong candidate for the 2028 cycle. Nailed it again.
