Glad a Presidential candidate didn’t get assassinated, political violence is never acceptable; laughing my ass off at this specific pearl clutching around violent rhetoric. We’ve known for almost a decade that we’ve reached a point where violence was possible, let’s not pretend the right hasn’t been doing the same **** the left has when it comes to demonizing your opponents. Trump calls so many people the enemy of the people that I’m sure I could literally find a top ten list. Telling a bunch of your patriotic supporters that evil people are coming to destroy their country is not materially different than saying Trump is coming to destroy democracy.

i wouldn't hold my breath...we have posters around here who regularly advocate for their political opponents to be wiped out or sent to Gitmo....it does make the pearl clutching more precious
 
Look all, I agree it’s time to tone it down. But it’s not whataboutism to suggest that Republicans, and Trump specifically, have spread harmful, violent messages about what the Left wants to accomplish too. The political divide is absolutely not one-sided and I won’t pretend that it is. Hopefully people stop the violence *and* the violent rhetoric.
