But it’s roughly the expected value of these things at a point in time. Calling investing in the stock market gambling isn’t meant as an insult and gambling isn’t just luck. The best sports gamblers are math nerds who have sophisticated computer models they’ve built to account for everything from individual pitcher/hitter matchups and wind conditions. You’re still giving away money for something with a speculative future value.
 
This is more work than I am willing to put into figuring this out, but did RFK Jr. ever actually suspend his campaign and stop taking donations for his candidacy or did he dupe a bunch of people into paying for his campaign by staying in the race in non-swing states? I still am a bit surprised more people didn’t call this setup out given the hay that was made about Biden dropping out.
 
Could be nothing. Could be something. I continue to believe the Jewish population is going to strongly reject the Dem party this election. Maybe they don't vote Trump, but I don't believe they vote for Harris. And I believe Florida's results are evidence that is happening.

Agreed on the general point of not knowing what it means for the race. I could see certain segments of the Jewish population breaking to Trump over Israel/Palestine but Florida is a bit of an odd state right now compared to the rest of the country. I think the DNC leadership in Florida basically needs to all be sent packing because I’ve never seen a state find worse candidates in possibly my entire life than Florida has in statewide races since 2018. It’s like they went all-in on Andrew Gillum and his post-election scandals just broke the party or something. Must be what it felt like to watch California in the 90s.
 
I’ve never in my life seen more people so irrationally confident in opposite directions before. Someone please find a way to make just reporting the news as it is more commercially profitable because we can’t keep living in two different worlds. It’s bad enough that the politicians are so far removed from reality, it’s much worse when both sides have an entire news and social media landscape to retreat toward they will only tell them what they want to hear.
