One of your favorites (Amash) is the one who mentioned how Desantis is a war hawk. He would be better than any Dem winning but don't be shocked if we continue our endless wars.
Desantis is unquestionably the leader in the clubhouse today (mainly because every establishment source - Media/Donors are pumping him up) - We will see where we are 1 year from now.

I'm well aware of that.
I suspect DeSantis has evolved quite a bit.
And nothing matters more to me than what happened during COVID.
Trump was the biggest of failures on the issue most important. Trump also failed to stop the current wars and stop the current bombings. Everytime the establishment pushed back he folded like a cheap suit.

You consistently praised Trump on his foreign policy so the record is clear on how you thought. I'm good with turning the page if thats what the voters decide. You suspect Desantis evolved because you want him to evolve but like I said don't go screaming foul if he brings us into another war.
You also praised Trump for not assuming power during COVID. He was crushed under the deep state (something Desantis didn't have to worry about in Florida) and wanted to open up in April of 2020 before anyone thought that was possible. Desantis locked down Florida as well so not sure why he gets a free pass.
We will see what the deep state does to real desantis in when he is president or we may not because of all the work Trump did to expose the reality of the situation.
I suspect that you and many others feel this way about Trump

Trump did many great things. Best president of my lifetime.
But when push came to shove... When the biggest crisis of our lifetime started... He failed so miserably that we are now paying the consequences two elections later.

I agree that he failed. We also learned during his presidency that we have a fourth branch of government that is really in charge. If you think that this could be dismantled in four short years then I get why we are now diverging from each other. I hope the next Republican that wins pushes to dismantle that apparatus but with people like Paul Ryan and Ken Griffin pushing Desantis I'm not sure that will happen. I'll be rooting for Desantis though if he is the nominee.
It was until Desantis won a close race (with an assist from Trump).

Hasn't been any declared wars since Republicans were in office almost 20 years ago. We have supported sides in wars but US military haven't been fighting any wars not started by Republicans since.
Trump is a germaphobe. Its his big weakness. I hate what he did during COVID and was a consistent critique of his approach.
I don't expect perfection. Trump was the best president of my lifetime and he was the #1 enemy of the New World Order. Nothing more is needed to get my vote.

I believe extended early voting with a requirement (and if necessary provision) of an id is the way to go. Having said that, the states that mail a ballot to every voter seem to have pretty good procedures in place to avoid fraud. A signature is the mail tool of verification for both mail and in person voting in the states I've voted in over the years. How is one more secure than the other.

Signature verification is an absolute joke and even moreso a joke when not done in person.
Why do you think you are supposed to hold off on signing something before getting it notarized?
But lets face it - I'm not shocked you have changed your stance on the fraud risk associated with VBM once it benefitted your end game of getting the orange man out of office.
