Again - You fail to understand how managing 50 unique states is different than 1 state with tremendous weather during hte summer time. Its these nuances that will lead you to make the wrong conclusions on things like a margin in a non-presidential Gov race.

One could have said that about Ted Cruz at one point. If Trump wins the nomination and DeSantis bends the knee and kisses the ring all will be forgiven. Win, lose, or draw Trump isnt going to be on the ticket in 2028. Even if DeSantis isnt the MAGA favorite at that point they will likely split their vote between other candidates and Ron wont have to run directly against Trump.
When you have Paul Ryan & Karl Rove running your campaign I'm not sure if you can come back from that. If Lake or Noem becomes VP its all over for Desantis in 28.
GOP leaders have always been on the other side of their voters preferences.

One has to worry about 50 states with unique circumstances.
One has endless sunshine and spaced out communities.
Florida was literally built to protect old people from disease.
Of course you don't hear or see this. Its not being thrown out there because they know how the base will respond. You ahve to know who is connected and who knows what is happening behind the scenes.
