2024 Field

Well I’m sorry it’s difficult for you to understand how those policies greatly impact and benefit social security and Medicare.

So the CBO and SS trust fund have both said the largest government benefit in the country is defunct in 10 years and trump doesn't have a position on it?

And what inputs into those projection systems are they using?

Real question - What experience do you have in financial modeling?

Well I have two responses

1. What is Donald trump's plan?

2. Probably more than you think. This is probably why I'm a lot more concerned on this than you are

Well if you did have the experience you say you have then you’d know why the solutions I posed and what trump has said repeatedly would DRASTICALLY change the projections.

As a side note I’ll let you know I’ve worked on financial models for the company I’ve told you I work for and because of my math background they’ve allowed me to become an integral part of the process.

Thethe seems very concerned about SS.

Sturg33 is equally as concerned.

I demand a solution to this failure.

Thethe apparently doesn't?

Isn't that a little weird?

And I’ve told you what policy proposals he has set forth that will help right the ship. You are just choosing to be obtuse because it’s a thing you like to do now.

Why are you unwilling to share his proposals?

He's not paying you is he? Just send me his solutions and I'll see if it I agree with it

I took one of those worthless liberal arts classes in undergrad called Philosophy and this is an example of the classic logical fallacy “appeal to authority”.

Social security is broken because of policy decisions of the last fifty years. Undoing those policies is what gets social security back on track. There is nothing they needs to be changed at this time.

When we fix the the stupid thjngs we have done then we can truly know if the policy of social security needs to be adjusted.

Well when someone makes a statement like social security is doomed because of the current projection models I’ll always ask then how can we chnsge the inputs into the model to get a better outcome. That is how you fix social security without drastically changing the policy.

Are you saying that doesn’t change the math?

Does Donald Trump have no positions on social security that youre willing to share?

This is an insane line of questioning and it shows a lack of serious discussion.

There is no DIRECT policy change to the current model. You just seem to think that is the only way to correct things. It’s hard for me to understand how you can have this blinder.

Putting aside the question of whether SS was a good policy 50 years ago, you also need to somehow solve for declining birth rates which is easily the biggest reason why the program isn’t sustainable long term.

Holy **** dude

You say RDS can't win because his position on SS

What is trumps position?

Can you send it to me?

100% agreed. That is a heavily weighted input into the model that needs to be addressed. Problem is fixing birth rates is a long battle that takes 20-30 years to see benefits in real life but any politician that doesn’t make this party of their proposal isn’t serious.

RDS policy on social security is to cut it and lead towards privatization.

Trumps policy is to not chnsge the policy but improve the aspects of the country that will increased the coffers for payments.

It’s very difficult for me to understand what you’re not understanding here.

So trumps policy is "no changes"

He agrees with Bernie Sanders, AOC, and Joe Biden?

So while you are fighting that battle for 30 years (which you probably lose based on every historical trend in every country), the program becomes insolvent.
