2024 Field

Even for the past couple (pre AI) generations, it is likely that more lower-skilled jobs have been lost to technology than to China or immigrants or outsourcing. AI is but the latest of a long string of labor-saving technological innovations. Not a new thang in the least. And a process that can't be stopped and is ultimately good for most of us. The relevant policy question is how to provide new opportunities/compensation for those displaced by this process.

If past is prologue the low-skill low-wage jobs will become ever more concentrated in the food service, personal services and hospitality sectors. Many jobs and careers in those sectors are actually quite good.

The future is robots ordering subservient humans to serve the elite humans.

Basically, Uber but for everything.

More and more information coming out on how the CIA completely manufactured the BS Russian disinformation story which was of course led by the Biden campaign.

I wish the left would just come out and say they are fine with the lying and cheating because they needed to stop trump. Stop pretending that you won fairly.

There are good jobs to be had packing cases of wine for Ultra High Net Worth Individuals (UHNWI) to be transported on their private jet from their cellars to their private island when they go there to entertain friends.

A few years back I worked with a brilliant engineer. Older guy, but one of smartest people I've ever met.

He was convinced that tech will evolve so much that nobody will ever have to work again. That robots, using ML and AI will simply do everything. That there will be no capitalism or any economic system because everything will be done for us.

I always thought he was crazy on this front but it has stuck with me and I believe its more likely to happen today than I did 5 years ago.

There is novel titled Looking Backward: 2000 to 1888 by Edward Bellamy (published in 1887) that is an interesting attempt to foretell the future.

Along similar lines there is the modern classic Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson (published in 1992).

I for one think CNN did report the news,!!
straight from the horses mouth.
It is out there, unfiltered and stark as could be.

This was who we thought hewas

Not only is he an ass but in confessing to multiple crimes on national TV he showed the world he is a not too bright ass.

I would love for someone who isn't suffering from Dementia to win a party nomination. We're gonna have the battle of the diapers part 2 in 2024.

We live in a world with billions of people.

I personally think the killing of a child at any stage is wrong. I'm also not naïve enough to think you can win a national election by pushing that position. Do you know what happens to abortion if we lose?

Prior to Trump abortion was legal in all states up until birth. Where we are now is a big time advancement don't you think?

Let the states decide where the line is at this point.
