2024 Field

disney pulling a billion dollar development project in Florida and keeping the 2,000 jobs in California

good job Ron lol

Pretty dumb of Disney to be honest. They stand to lose hundreds of millions of dollars from this decision.

Sometimes it ain't about the almighty dollar.

I'd think you would agree.

oh 100%

I mean, the Republican Party use to be pro business

but they seem to have shifted in a way of big gov't telling business how they should act and to kiss the ring

hmm, there are some ways to describe that that gets some panties in a wad though

: dispute ?

please show when the " decision" was made

In this manufactured instance, for those not paying attention, Disney is holding ALL the cards

Iger has hated the project from the beginning.

This was a chapek program that iger wanted to kill in cost cutting moves

It's more fun to paint it as a political dispute though... But unlike AOC/Amazon in NY, this wasn't a political decision

you said the decision was made long ago, do you have any or even a fact to back that up or just
repeating (with a dash of projection) the party line ?

AOC / Amazon was a political move in that, " all politics are local"
her constituents opposed the Amazon facility
I dont recall the numbers that was years ago and it is baseball season

I'm sadly holding a lot of stock of Disney and know that Iger wanted to kill this project when he took over.

Here's a local beat report on discussing the matter last year

Another Twitter account I follow.is Disney glimpses and he's been reporting on Iger wanting to kill this for months

Sorry to disappoint you

Jenna Ellis, an attorney for Donald Trump who helped drive his false claims about the 2020 election results, has admitted in a Colorado disciplinary proceeding that she misrepresented evidence at least 10 times during Trump’s frantic bid to subvert his defeat.

Confident Disney weighed the plus's and minus'

LOL, wut? You think a company that has been performing poorly recently and is looking to layoff thousands or workers is making a smart move by losing out on hundreds of millions of dollars......
