I did... what does that have to do with not shutting the country down?

Are you pro lockdowns now?

Just establishing that you care about the constitution. So what is Trump going to do when blue states and nations around the world shutdown? Please help me understand what happens to global demand and therefore the jobs of the working class in the country.

This is of course trying to reconcile your statement that "Trump fired those people" with facts on the ground. Or are you going to 'course correct' again soon and 'tweak' your language pretending it was the same argument in the first place?

I find the process of answering your endless hypotheticals getting boring.

Trump should use the bully pulpit to tell those leaders to do the right thing. He should tell citizens to put pressure on their leaders. He should make it clear that locking down is un-American and anti freedom.

There was no reason for the communist states or other countries to do the right thing because there was no pressure.

Luckily that changed when RDS decided to fill that massive leadership void and other states started following his lead.

No - That is not what I said at all in this example.

Can you help me understand what in what I said indicated I was anything more than supportive of the 15 days to stop the spread?

Well you continue to make endless excuses for Trump justifying his lockdowns

We are talking about the needs for the CARES act because of hte drop of global aggregate demand from March-July early from today. The whole point is that the lockdowns for the first few months could never have been stopped and therefore the need to save the families that were screwed. You just aren't mature enough to understand this fact.

A hallmark of a TDS inflicted person during Trumps presidency was that he was attributable to many of the countries issues and problems devoid of any logic. So when I hear someone say "CARES Act caused the 25% inflation" or "Trump fired those people" I begin to wonder....

My favorite thing about this back and forth is the person calling for printing free money and hand it out to be people not to work claims the other person doesn't have a mature understanding

Ahh. Helpless yet again

I'm just having difficulty getting an answer out of you that would have stopped majority of the states from shutting down in March as well as the world. Because you need to answer that because the big issue is the drop in global aggregate demand overnight and what that did to the global economy.

I don't want to have to do that. Tell me what the alternative was to get those families through the next four months without work and money? Jus saying Trump could ahve told the world to stay open isn't the right answer and everyone knows it.

No, we are also talking about how "Trump fired those people" while in reality he had a very small role if any in that unfortunate outcome.

When Trump brags about locking down the coutry and "shutting off the economy"... do you believe he is mistaken and actually played no role in any of this?

At the time Trump was a proponent of locking down the country to assess the severity of the virus. Just like 85-90% of the world.

So you tell me how the shutdowns would not have happened if only Trump said no?

When the largest economic superpower decides they are going to shut its economy off, global demand economies will suffer.

My preference would be to elect a leader who.isnt stupid enough to do that

Can you give me an example of a world leader or American leader in late February/early March that was saying we shouldn't shut down to assess severity?

Before I answer that yet again... do you agree that Trump played a role in shutting down the country?

According to chatgpt, leaders who publicly criticized lockdowns from the beginning

President of Brazil, Sweden, and Belarus were against lockdown measures. Additionally, republican senators Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, and Ron Johnson... as well as republican congressman Thomas Massie and Justin Amssh
