2024 Field

yeah I don't know all the thousands of people involved by name... but I do know the leader of that group and give credit where credit is due

Amazing what MAGA took from what I said.

Praise goes not only to RD for not getting in the way but to the thousands of people local state and federal who do this work every day 365 regardless of who is governor .
Including our board meteorologist !

Remedial reading I would guess is available at all y'all's community college or GED Center
Or, just knee jerk run to RD's defense at the slightest
touchy touchy

What would you say if someone made a post applauding the freeway in the NE getting fixed in record time ? Same thing or would you spell out the “admin” who was a democrat ?

Do we even need to give the thousands of people credit when they have to deal with a category 5 hurricane every other week?

It’s got to be like walking the trash can out to the curb at this point.

but

" extraordinary competence in governance "

this love affair with Desantis borders on the irrational 20 year love affair with Ron Paul
you know, the guy that voted against hurricane relief for his own district.

Not sure what Desantis did --- oh, let me help, to his credit ---he didnt claim credit or use an over the top phrase like,

" extraordinary competence in governance "

he like the thousands of others, did his job.
Or as some might say, took the trash to the curb

Damn, he's too far gone to return

thethe is far from alone...it is a weird time in American history when so many adults (mostly older adults) worship and try to emulate a badly-behaved 77 year old toddler

competence in anything is scarce.

why should governance be any different?
People selected by humans to lead of course the law of averages

but,

" extraordinary competence in governance "

?????

there are at least 4 other governors that have lead their states through this storm
without --- a glitch

He was quick to applaud Phillys opening of i95 lol.

I was.
A collapsed bridge re opened within weeks where it normally takes months
if not years. Regardless party in power
what does that have to do with Hurricane Idalia ?
Where people train year round for hurricane response

Our board meteorologist weighed in from Montana that Florida has weathered 4 major hurricanes in 6 years. Most under Desantis watch I might add
I dont see any applause for FEMA's contribution in Florida, Georgia, SC and NC response.
Or over the top praise for those governors
Governor Shapiro was gushing with praise for FEMA's involvement,

But, Desantis
gets "extraordinary" attached to him for competently doing his job
Got it

Agreed. They all did their job and they managed a natural disaster seemingly well. Kudos all around.

Response to disasters require direction. Leaders should provide that direction. How is this difficult to comprehend?

While Republicans are whining about gas stoves, ceiling fans
and “woke” beer, the Democrats have regained ALL the jobs we
lost during the pandemic and created 4 MILLION NEW ones!!

To miss the hurricane a guy I know in Valdosta just drove a couple hundred miles north, ate at a Cracker Barrel, then drove back home.

I'm a meteorologist in North Dakota... not Montana, but spent most of my undergrad researching tropical weather and lived the vast majority of my life in the southeast. My comment really had nothing to do with Desantis... it was just to correct your claim that was very wrong. It's really not hard to look up.

"Florida has major hurricanes if not 2 most every season,"
