No, they don't have to make that argument.

They can say look at these monters forcing taking contorl of your body even after 6 weeks when most don't even know they are pregnant.

Thats what you don't understand. Putting at 6 weeks allows them to be on the offensive and with what we have seen nationally its a losing issue.

Yes they do. It's now the law. If they want to change it, they will need to define when abortion is no longer acceptable , which they refuse to do because it reprehensible

But I guess you want to lose so you can feel better about your moral righteousness.

If I wanted to lose I'd keep nominating Trump and MAGA inc

The squishy GOP is the one before Trump that didn't care about pro-life at all. Now they had the biggest win they've had in their life and they want to throw it away because they can't see hte long term picture.

hahahahahahahahahahahaha

"they are squishy GOP!!! They don't actually care about abortion! You know how I know, because they are passing laws that highly restrict abortion!!!"

what a retarded argument

And the 'Thousands' being saved is because of Trump.

Actually it's not. It's because Republican legislatures and governors had the backbone to pass a law. Donald Trump believes those laws are a "terrible thing."

Do you agree with Trump?

No, they don't have to defend it because they can make the argument that the opposition wants it at 6 weeks which is just as unpopular. You still fail to grasp something so basic.

Its fine at a state level to pass laws that the people in your state want. Never said anything negative about it. But to try and become a national political figure with such a losing issue around your neck is a DOA situation.

No - I did not agree with that characterization. But I don't agree with Trump on quite a few things but understand he is by far the best chance we have at taking back the US.

I prefer candidates who aren't constantly undermining conservative voters in an attempt to be liked by leftists

I think things like Graham saying he wants to push a nationwide abortion ban undermines conservative voters because all it does it lead to lost elections.

That's true. What's sad to me is if thought it were more beneficial to him back then, he wouldn't have

The idea was to stop abortions in late stage and after birth if the people didn't want that.

YOu can still have that feeling and think that 6 week heartbeat bill is not right.

I don't see the contradiction here.

Pro life advocates apparently should pass pro life laws because... strategy to eventually pass pro life laws?

You don't have to remain a listless vessel. Think for yourself

If pro-life groups want to institue policies for short term gain while losing the long term battle then that is their decision.

It will only be their fault when that ends up happening since we know how abortion is voted on in this country.

How many babies should we allow to be slaughtered today in order to achieve a specific policy (which is what by the way?)

I don't know the number but whatever it is I can guarantee you that strategizing this correctly will result in countless babies saved in the future.

But go ahead and push your wildly unpopular ideas and see how that does nationally and then what that means for the Presidency/Congress/SC.

You can think something is abhorrent while also understanding that sometimes you have to deal with a bad thing to get an even better thing in the future.

1. So what is the eventual policy win that we will get that those babies give their life for today?

2. These bills are not unpopular where they passed. It would be irresponsible for these states not to pass these laws their voters want. And the governors who signed them got rewarded with reelection victories

3. The thing I think is most abhorrent is squishy thethe arguing for more abortion so that leftists don't vote against us

In terms of the policy I look at this over a much longer timeframe then you.

I want a world where in 50 years as we know of how awful abortion is and the medical advances gives us much more insight into the lifecycle that NOBODY gets an abortion in the future unless DRASTIC circumstances.

That world doesn't happen if you drive a perceived extreme policy forward just moments after the Dobbs ruling was overturned.

I have never once said states should not pass their bills.

What I think is sad is that you lack the mental depth to undrestand strategy and long term goals.
